Hey!
Today I am back with the usages of -든 and -던. They often get confused by native Koreans due to their similar pronunciation but they are two different grammar!
There are several ways to use -던 compared to -든, I've marked the time code for y'all to go back and forth and review the material more easily. Hope this helps! As always, thank you for watching!! 감사합니다 :)

2:16 -던 Noun

I'll try to be brief, but there's a lot I like about this video. It's very thorough, but concise, well paced, and organized. Your speech and text perfectly complement each other. I even like the font and audio level; easy on the eyes and easy to listen. And timestamps in the description! Thanks for making this video! I used to teach Japanese and have been teaching myself Korean. I wish more teachers (including myself) formatted their lessons as well as you do here. I'll be on the lookout in the future in case you ever start a patreon. P.S. The different colored font works well with the lesson, but did you coordinate it with your sweater on purpose? haha I love it

Thank you so much for your feedback😭🙏🏻 To hear such compliment from someone who’s been teaching a language means a lot! I’ll try my best to make more useful videos😊 and yup I picked the font color based off of my sweater😂

Angie, for -든, I'd refer back to my example 1:20 For -던: 1. 수지는 10시에 잔다던데'요' -- just add polite ending '-요' in the end, and that goes the same for the rest of the examples of -다던데 and -던데. 2. For -던지, when it's used in predicting the cause of a conclusion, it's used as a clausal connective, literally connecting two sentences. So you can attach either polite ending or honorific ending in the end of the final clause of the sentence to make it polite (like example 8:30) 3. Lastly for -던지 when emphasizing "how much ~", just simply add the polite or honorific ending. Ex. 얼마나 맛있던지요..!! Hope this helps :)
