Thanks for this coverage of the 1959 Candidates and 1960 WCM. I was inspired yesterday to read something about the 1961 rematch coverage, and saw a Western press article that fairly rejoiced that order had been restored. At that time, Tal was not appreciated.

My first thought at 11:20 is: white rook at f1 and then he have some hopes. If black Knight stays there he can continue to move his g pawn. If the Black knight goes to e8, the white bishop at h6 and the black rook is out of the game. If the black Knight goes to d7 ,then d4 to d5 and rook cannot changes because the pawn after Bishop it will take also the Knight and it goes for queen with the support of white Bishop. In anyway i think white rook at f1 is the best (human) move

@yuristremel5 жыл бұрын
After QxR white have the bishop pair for a rook, and despite being down a pawn, white's pieces will develop and contribute much easier than the black rooks with all that closed files. I think that "losing" is a strong therm for the situation, but white would be better out of a situation where black could dominate the board.

I have a suggestion for you. Sometimes I get distracted, then look back at your video and see amazing combinations, king hunts and stunning checkmates. I have time to think "Wow, they played that? That's amazing!" then you go back ten moves and I understand it was just a possible line that didn't get played. It's a small disappointment every time. Maybe you could show some sort of visible indicator when you're exploring a line rather than showing the actual game? It should be subtle, only noticeable if you're looking for it, that sort of thing.
@tan116A6 жыл бұрын
I mean, I understand you and everything, but it's stupid to ask a guy to alter his video just so it's more comfortable for YOU. These are intense games of chess, and it's a given that they will require undivided attention in order to be understood and appreciated. That's a big reason why people love agadmator so much; because he explains various lines and interesting positions in such a smooth flow. And if you're wandering off getting distracted, it's just stupid because you're missing the point of his videos. It is even kinda offensive, and to be honest, it's your problem.

I am just a novice player and I do not understand why are players allowed to offer a draw. Especially in world championship. IMO they should play until win or loss or forced draw.
@sahilmhatre35266 жыл бұрын
Before watching the whole video I thought Botvinnik blundered queen as Kasparov did against Vishy Anand. Hence Kasparov is sitting on agadmator's head ( title of the video gave me this feeling)
@CrunchyFreak6 жыл бұрын
I think it is very strange that you would offer a draw down four points, your explanation about why didn't really make sense to me.
@NicoSolitario16 жыл бұрын
PoopSteve420 position is equal and trying to force a win could just lead to a devastating lost By offering a draw botvinnik will get another match and some time to prepare. The only problem is he had to beat tal 4 times in a row

If you don't like Agadmator, you don't like chess. If you don't like chess, you don't like life. Thusly, all someone with depression needs in their life is a little Agadmator!
@janniskaiser94806 жыл бұрын
Sry, but your logic is flawed. What you are saying is: "don't like Agadmator => don't like chess => don't like life", in total: "don't like Agadmator => don't like life". Fine until here. The contraposition is also right: like life => like Agadmator. However, the inversion "like Agadmator=> like life" doesn't follow from your statement. So Agadmator won't get you out of any depression!! Fortunately, I like life, so I also like Agadmator :)
@quazzydiscman6 жыл бұрын

@VedanthB96 жыл бұрын
But, empirically, this dissertation holds true in my life! 😃😂
@1tubax6 жыл бұрын
Jannis Kaiser no, since it's an inversion it would be like life => like agadmator
