I had this plushie kit when I was a kid that had pre-made holes and came with a plastic needle and yarn, so that you could actually "sew" your own project, and stuff it as much as you want. I made a duck and that lil guy lasted for yeeeears.

I had one where you had to cut out and sew according to the pattern and stuff it with beans. Issue was if anything it was a bit advanced and you stuffed it from its rear end and closed the hole which for whatever reason I never did properly and mine pooped beans lol

As someone who uses felt often, it hurt me to see school glue being used on a felt project.

Yeah, it would never work. Only way is hot glue but then the seams are all crusty and hard... Why not materass stitch the shape and straight stitch the decoration? The springles would have looked awsome with bullion stitches but I don't think kids would have the dexterity for that I had a similar kit but with no glue involved when I was around 6 and the duck is still around 20 years later, converted in cat toy

Who thought it was a good idea to bond felt together with school glue????? Felt is a tricky material that pretty much only cooperates when you actually sew it together. Coming from someone who crafts a lot with felt.... glue will never work lol

Hot glue dries hard which is why people don't use it if they want their project to be soft. School glue isn't strong enough to hold fabric together, the only 2 things that work are fabric glue and sewing but sewing is better

My question is, why not include a needle and thread, I bought a whole kit of that for 2 USD. And that glue takes ~OVERNIGHT~to dry! It’s not quick and easy if you have to wait that long! Salt is much intense.

mia binet needles probably count as a safety hazard if its aimed for kids, unless it was one of those big plastic ones made for kids but then they would have to add holes for sewing since those plastic needles are blunt... Wouldn't have been difficult to just put in fabric glue though

I am very salty and love shaking the salt at my enemies and watching your videos, but I have a small issue with what you said about the stick. In other reviews you have mentioned how kits should have all materials needed and should not require personal items. I agree, and therefore appreciate the stick included because someone may not have a pencil or pen to use. Even if it seems basic, some people may use this on the go or at a friend’s house where they don’t have pencils or stick-shaped things regularly available. You also just never know what someone has access to. That’s all. I like the stick and I think you were a bit hypocritical. Love you, #teamstick.

Those mini clothespins are perfect for glue and felt. It makes them bond so much better. If you don't have those, they are on Amazon and Wish. I bought my granddaughter a hundred pins and the string and we set it up to hang favorite photos. These pins have a ton of use.
