got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

If you don't mind hunting second hand JDM watch there are several models of similar looks: - overland, overland titanium (ovw series) - waveceptor (wva m600 and up) These two offer solar, led light, radio controlled. Both have digital module but only the later have digital display. There is also "Timber Cruiser" (tic series) that looks slightly busier but I'm not sure if they had solar within its lineup.

The Waveceptor looks nice too, not my style, but some people might find it attractive with the digital display. The Timber cruiser is quite a surprise from what I see. ​@@WristSaga A little bit more about the wva-m600 and 630 is that the display is dot matrix but japanese only, easier to setup once you get the days in kanji. It is slimmer so it wears larger on the wrist, the lug space is cut straight to the case, so if you replace the bracelet it fill the gap nicely, it's a strap monster. They came in black or grey dial, also with baton or numeric applied marker. I believe it has the same module with Casio Lineage series. The difference obviously english text. And while m600 case is half-stainless, half-resin, resin-button, the lineage is full stainless and the lug space is rounded. The ovw looks analogue but it is completely digital inside. It knows AM/PM (for alarm function), date, day of the week, month and year. Yes it has perpetual calendar from 2000 to 2099, but because it doesn't have display it's a nightmare to setup unless you blast emulated "radio signal" for it to receive manually. You can get ovw direct from japan in decent condition, most of them said untested so be aware of that. Sometimes the 'basic steel' version came engraved with company name like ANA or japan post to commemorate its employees. Timber cruiser is still a mystery for me since I haven't got one (not in good price anyway), but the eralier version is more like a dive-field-hybrid while the later version looks like aviation watch. What I like about these jdm watches is that they're rich with detail, the marker are all applied not painted. Lume that make seiko blush, but they're old so while it's bright, doesn't last long. And the heft.. They're not heavy but it felt hefty for its size especially compared to modern casio general that often feels "empty" Do they even made jdm casio today? Anyway.. I've said too much :)

I agree. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. Second hands that stop between markers rather than on them is an easily fixed QC issue. I own a lot of Casios and this is not an issue Ive experienced with any analog watches I own. He may have just gotten an off example.

I would prefer to buy a quartz field watch around this price point as opposed to a Hamilton or Citizen priced at $500 and up. If you take it out in a recreational setting you can be a little rough with it and not be concerned about hefty replacement or repair costs.

Nice watch but looking at what's available, there's a Singapore grey-marketeer selling them for $180. That seems quite a lot for a basic Seiko solar, let alone a Casio. Would love to know where it can be found for a sensible price. If not, then the claim to value for money is obsolete. I suppose eBay et al are our friends, but I'm not sure I'd put in the effort. Interesting watch. Lorus also make some nice field watches, and they look even more similar to the Hamilton Khaki. They look better than this Casio in my opinion. They are not solar, though, so if you want that, this Casio is the way to go.

That's a really good looking watch I had no idea about. I purchased a Hamilton Khaki King three years ago which I enjoy wearing. Finding out however this Casio is solar powered I may have bought this. I will look out for one though but I would imagine if any are to be found the price would be much higher because of its rareity.

You should be proud of you Hamilton. Certainly the case will last longer than this Casio’s case. In terms of solar, this Casio sure beats the accuracy and reliability of any mechanical. The price is still low until shop owners find out about the demand.

It's a nice looking watch but my OCD tendencies would not accept the calendar/numeral configuration. It simply looks like a sloppy error. The second hand also isn't hitting the seconds markers squarely and are ever so slightly off.

It looks very pretty except for that half 3, and colors are nice. I have been thinking on getting a MTPS120L, which I assume is the replacement for this. Solar, 100m WR, has day and date, but no white version, 3 is gone and they added minutes numbers and markers to the bezel, which I think it looks worst than this model

Glad to hear that you found one. A lot of them are in Romania and Bulgaria, not on Amazon, but in small online shops. Usually in these countries are many other watches that don’t sell in other parts of the world. I don’t know why, but it is what it is.

I dunno. I really like the field/Flieger style in a watch, but this one actually looks as cheap as it actually is. Just look at those uneven milling marks on the top of the lugs and encircling the case. Only 50 m WR. And with a chromed brass case, even $50 doesn't seem all that affordable any longer. The large and ugly printed Casio logo doesn't help. For a solar powered field/Flieger, I'd rather spend double the amount (which fortunately isn't much in this case) and get a Citizen. And as it happens, that's just what I did. Got an AW5000 with a nicely finished steel case and 100 m WR. Or just look at what the Chinese are offering over at Ali Express.

Yeah, that’s a but disappointing, but Casio is known for great plating. Usually they last about 2-3 years without any signs of corrosion. Mine keeps the same image as the day when I got it.
