AA is the new AAA, all the best stuff has been smaller scale this year

You two mentioned Nobody Wants to Die as an indie, First Person, narrative game, and I want to recommend Still Wakes the Deep. The writing is fantastic, as is the (AUTHENTIC) Scottish voice cast. It’s a short, tight narrative that tells a fantastic story. It’s only 4-5 hours, and it’s currently my game of the year. It’s on PC as well as console, and even Game Pass.

don't worry I'd never buy a $60 game, mostly because it's never been in my budget. Why buy dlc when i can buy a jar of yeast

Could this be a short series… Next Xbox indies, PS5, and so on.
@zaidabraham73109 сағат бұрын
That would be pointless. Most indies are PC-first, because it's easier to develop and publish games for PC

So I think I made a whole comment like a month and a half ago on one of your videos about how I really disliked the anti-consul nature of some of your videos and how not everybody has that much money to spend on a video game machine? well I did so for the first time in my life I have a PC that is actually optimal to blast through some high-quality games and I even though it did take a lot to set up having all these different options to bounce around and pay for games (Xbox is better on pc 🤯) as well as being able to play games that I missed not having a PC has been amazing, frost punk forever. Thank you. You guys challenged me to find out, but yeah it is better on the other side, who knew.

I love this. I have been into roguelites since Enter the Gungeon came out. Now you have so many good ones. Hades is a great example for passion and quality for a smaller price tag. Some games like Returnal or Freelancer in hitman are triple A roguelites. It's the best genre imo rn

Sucks that hitman freelancer isn’t even really brought up in roguelike discussions

Echo Point Nova is my recommendation. As a Titanfall 2 lover the movement is great. It’s also got a massive open world similar to the Sky Islands in TOTK, great gunplay, agility orbs a la Crackdown, bosses, challenges, and a full arsenal with tons of upgrades. It can also be played in full co-op and it’s just fun to wallride, slide, hoverboard, and grapple with friends. It’s only $25 and can last you for awhile.

I absolutely though that Zoochosis would just be another spooky jumpscare horror game so Bruce's description is actually kinda selling me on the game. Sounds pretty interesting actually.

Enshrouded should be on anyone's list that really enjoy survival/rpgs. I got it for like 20 bucks or whatever and I've sunk hundreds of hours into it easily. They also keep nailing it with their updates, with new biome spaces, added mechanics, building materials, and more quests. One of the last updates also added difficulty options that let you fine tune the games difficulty by adding optional survival mechanics, more/less resources, combat tweaks like damage to enemies or from enemies.

I have said this many times. I've been lucky to be old enough to be around since th dawn of gaming. I got bit immediately in the 1970s, built my first computer and never looked back. I had a friend who owned his computer shop and even wrote for certain gaming magazines. So I've had access to many systems, games and everything I bought I kept - and still play. And yet this generation has been fucking awful. I'm yet to buy a PS5 or Xbox because there aren't enough games I want on them that warrant the purchase. This has neever happened before. I'm sick of imconpetent and greedy (especially American) companies that have no fucking clue about their products, no apparent ability to run or man manage a company , yet still throw millions on stupid endeavours and chasing trends. Being risk averse too, they just turn the same old slop time and again. Just like Ubisoft do. Most years I'd typically buy about 300 games a year - it's WAY down now. Thankfully there's still good indies out there though and Nintendo continue to go their own way. Seriously people need to realise that you shouldn't put up with this shit - if there's nothing new available, go for older games or replay stuff.

I think Ghost Recon Wildlands was last AAA game I bought... I bought the Annaversary edition of Skyrim, as a DLC too. I love having a video of people talking about great indie games. Last time I remember getting regular videos of cool indie games was co-optional podcast...

I will always recommend Rimworld to anyone who hasn't played it. While it's entry cost being 40$ is a little steep i have got 1.1k hours of enjoyment out of it. It has a very very passionate modding scene that pretty much allows you to make the game however you want it to be whether that's more like something like Mass Effect or really out there sexual stuff. While the expansion that are out for the game are also a little steep in price, I think that the amount they add to the game makes it feel like a completely new experience (Royalty and Biotech specifically) but also so do some of the mods made for it that are the same size as an official expansion but entirely free. A game though that I feel like is a hidden gem and one that I've not heard talked about enough is Atomicrops. It's like if you put Stardew Valley and Binding of Isaac into a blender and came out with a farming action rogue like. It's on both PC and Console (Nintendo included) .
