WD doesn't use Kioxia nand, they use Sandisk nand that is also owned by WD. However Kioxia and WD both make great SSDs far better than Consistant, Ant, EVM, Adata and Kingstone that is mostly purchased in the market.

I have both SanDisk external bSSD and an SSD with an enclosure. With my experience you should always get a factory built one because it is both compact and sturdy. On the other hand an assembled one is always flimsy.

Also aftet building these SSDs if i have thunderbolt port with thunderbolt cable available will speed of transfer increase or will it be same as you mentioned?
