it's so funny seeing comments like "oh this is a skill issue" or "this is a bad review because I never had such experience in this game" And you can see all of it literally on the screen throughout the video. And then you blame the bad performance on my 4090 and 7950x or my 500 mb/s internet. It's as hilarious as people saying "it's an alpha/early access" even though that alpha costs 40$ to 100$ to play. And the dumb bot like comment that I shouldn't ask for a refund because I played 70 hrs is hilarious. It's my job to play through it so other people dont have to. And idk if you know that there's a difference between having bad first impressions and knowing the game better so you can draw your conclusions better? Idk.. that's why it's called a review.

I wanted a refund 150hrs deep into Starfield and put myself through another 30hrs after that ‘just to be sure’ I wasn’t enjoying it, and that it wasn’t just me.. so no, I can totally relate. A lot of crap games can seduce with some fun aspects before you conclude they’re sh*t, that’s also part of what makes them especially bad: you realise it AFTER wasting huge amounts of gaming time on them.

However a majority of people don't know what it means when a game is in Alpha, or just don't understand that they're basically paying to help test a mostly unpolished version of the game. You have a strong case on the NPC responding too fast, they shoot threw bushes, we can’t and I don’t like when I shoot suppressed the whole town still gets alerted. The foliage and npc and players only looks clear through the scopes, I want to be able to make out my targets from 300 meters away as clear it looks so grainy

The NPCs can see you through some walls and will try to fire at you as well.

So it’s actually they don’t see you through the wall but they shoot at your last known location, if you rotate around a corner of a wall you’ll see them still shoot your last spotted/ heard location

Sorry to hear that you feel that way about the game. I bout the supporter edition day one and have been loving it every day since. And I would do it again, because I would love to see this game at 100% and anything I can do to get them there, such as buying the game, I will do. As for waiting for the chopper, what about people who wait in a cue for 10, 20, sometimes even 30+ minutes for a match to start. To me, it’s the same. I will say that the aimbot that the AI have it’s pretty outrageous. And the xray vision through bushes is bad as well. But you covered it by saying it’s an early access game and they said they are working on fixing that. And let’s be fair, Tarkov was even more bare bones when it started, and look where it is now. I am hopeful for this game to be more as time goes on.

Considering this game is in EARLY ACCESS and in a far better state than MANY games that have come out this past 3-4 years, tells a-lot, not only that, but the devs are awesome, constantly fixing the game, they put out a video of upcoming issue fixes, said they're working hard on the performance of the game, on the choppers, on the shotguns and pistols, and also servers are constantly being added. That being said, my performance got fixed by switching from DX12 to DX11, fixing my windows settings, so saying you have bad performance, when you haven't done anything to fix it, is like saying my car is broken because I didn't turn it on.. Also as the devs said, there's only like 20-30% of content that they want in the game currently. I'm saying buy this game if you want. It isn't that much money, considering what you currently get as a game, 150 quests and some of the best graphics we've seen from a PC only game in a long time, also the fact that this game is fun if you know what you're doing.. you can get it for like 25€ from G2A or check allkeyshop for the lowest price.. Also if you don't know why you're getting shot through bushes etc, it's because they have actual intelligence in the AI, if the AI sees you, or if you shoot at someone, and run straight behind a bush/ wall, and they saw that, that's what they'll focus on, and start shooting through, if you stay there and die, that's no-one's but your fault. Same with the gunplay, they use realistic ballistics, you don't shoot someone in the arm/leg 15 times irl and they just magically die, the damage is done if you shoot them once and the artery is split.. that's it, it doesn't magically regenerate the flesh/ blood and split again, shoot mid torso/ head like they teach you.. 1 shot to heart insta kills players and AI. (use correct ammo, I've had 0 issue killing AI once I found out they use realistic ballistics) same with headshots. Use cover, NOT concealment, concealment is for the line of sight, cover is for life. Stop with the nonsensical moaning and bitching about everything, if you don't like it, cool, if you do, cool, stop telling other people what to do and not to do with their money lol.. TLDR; Buy it if you like the gameplay, a lot of people just DON'T KNOW what they're talking about. Cheapest I got the game for was 25€. That's just the normal version, you can upgrade later.

For me its pretty bland not enough loot, plenty of quests to do but if you're with a group of people trying to complete quest your best going solo because killing bosses or killing npcs only count towards your quest and not give it everyone in the group. Plus the numorous bugs such as loosing full set of gear because of vanishing dead bodys on your return. edit:waiting for choppa is slightly annoying because sometime it takes a while.. im literally spamming that sh--t. Plus the npc issue with soaking bullets 1 full mag of m855 from my m4 didnt kill him and he ran off not even 2 meter away from me.

In a world where KSP 2 is an early access game (and now looking like it will be forever), we're still defending absolutely broken releases with very little scope in design. It's funny how easily people will put aside criticisms for a business because they slapped on a little "early access" sticker and called it a day. That absolutely means the game is going to be flawless in the future and any criticism is just because it's early. Not to mention the fact that the only playtest they seemingly did was to show off the game, and didn't give themselves any time at all to actually fix and adjust the game before just throwing it out there. I tried it for 2 hours and refunded it. I was so fucking bored. Gray Zone has great ballistics, boring tasks, nothing else to really do outside of the tasks, except PvP which is rare to come across. For a game that's supposed to focus on the PvE sides of a tarkov-like game, I expected more... you know... well designed PvE mechanics? Especially the AI, you would think they'd put as much work into their AI as something like Ready Or Not, but I can see that their aim is essentially "Get the Vector3 of the player's head bone and add random spread". There's no smart mechanics. They almost look like they're basic FSMs. Beyond that, there's fuck all to do, except the same grindey bullshit Tarkov calls "tasks". Boring. Add some dynamic world based missions, make that a focus first maybe. The tasks, the voip limit, even the supporter editions just seem like they looked at tarkov and were like "let's just copy this word for word because we have no better ideas". The lack of foresight from a company that has actual released projects under them is wild to me. It seems like this idea was slapped together within a year with no real outlined design goal. The ballistics and medical system are impressive, but that's the only bit that really is IMO. Also figured we'd be done with P2W supporter editions, especially after the tarkov debacle, but guess not. These additions always end up causing balancing issues, and when they're nerfed, cause controversy. Let's hope that's the end of it and they don't pull a Tarkov a few years down the line 😂 Hyped for Arena Breakout instead. And I hope this game turns out well, but considering it's yet another tactical shooter with a rocky start, I doubt it.

I was excited for KSP 2, Cities Skylines 2, Gray Zone (although I kinda knew it'd be exactly what it was when the announcement trailer first dropped). I'm extremely skeptical of games, especially early access ones. For everyone's sake I want Gray Zone to be good. I stopped playing Tarkov 2 years ago because of the cheaters, performance, jank, and constant grind that I just got kinda tired of. Maybe I'm talking out of my ass but I feel like with certain features in game, I can kinda understand part of the devs mindset behind it, which is why I get put off when I see features that are very clearly under-designed. Because it gives me a sense that the game doesn't even have a plan or idea for what they want to do. GZW doesn't feel like an asset flip, but it feels very slapped together. Clearly the devs are very skilled in what they do, I know from experience working as a dev in Triple-A that shit's fucked no matter where you work. I mean even GTA V's code is full of eldritch horrors. But some things in GZW just seem like a sketch that wasn't fully explored or developed on paper first.

Helicopter points are valid, GZW devs expected more teams to play rather than solos, but they've talked about it and are looking into fixes. When you suggested that you haven't played PVP, does that mean the PVEVP servers only? If so, then the PVP servers run so so much better from my experience, the amount of rubber banding on PVE servers is abysmal. NPCs don't see through foliage, they shoot at your last known location, sometimes there's one or two AI that no matter what you do will just track you perfectly, but that's a small instance, and probably being looked at. Leaves stopping bullets, yeah, I've had this too, some rounds just don't do well with foliage for some reason usually the sub sonic rounds. Others have no issue, AI will still sponge a lot of bullets though. NPC Respawn is probably around 10 mins or more depending if you're still in the area or not, so not really a "fast respawn". FPS, honestly, there's something wrong with your PC then, if you're running a 4090 and only getting 90fps then its something you're doing. I get 130+ on a 4070 TI + Ryzen 5800X and very very rarely drop below 100.. Again, rubberbanding, PVE servers are shocking. Play PVP and you'll be fine, still small issues but not anywhere near as big... Regarding people saying bad things about the game on their discord?? I've seen so much negativity on there about the game and they haven't been banned or anything, so no idea where you're getting that from... End of the day, it is Early Access, and the state of the game for such an early build in Early Access is actually very good. My main gripes are, server performance isn't the best and ai bullet sponges... What I'd like to see in the future. More weapons, Ground vehicles, high value loot, better areas, ai not sponging as many bullets.

While the game is in early access and has quite a few flaws, it is still a fun experience. I personally don't mind the travel times as I'm used to playing military sims like SQUAD which are very slow paced, to me the game feels right at home bridging the gap between military sims and extraction-shooters without all the cumbersome features that Tarkov came with.

You can come to a game and say oh it has this issue or whatever excuse you wanna give it’s not a finish game. all i have to say is i been gaming for 33 years ... and the effect that Grayzone has on me i felt it only with Battlefield 3 back in the day, then 2017 on year 1 of early access PUBG. This game has the most potential out of any game i have ever played. Ps. Im on a 5800x3d 4090 system and yeah gaming at 85-110 native 1440p fps with no BS frame gen might suck but hey... you soon overcome it. This game is pure fckn gold and we barely slept in the past week, all 4 of us are already lvl 29 to lvl 33, all tradors maxed out lvl 3 and 300k each of on us with an average of 120 missions done out of the 150.

The game has bugs yes. Its to be expected as an early access. The helicopter problem is being worked on. Spongy ai is a early game problem. One you unlock the better ammunition you can 3 shot most of the ai. Your bad FPS is a settings issue my system is weaker than yours and im running at 120FPS. Suppressors help you will draw the attention of near by enemies. With out one you will draw all the ai in the area to you. You cant just sit in one area and shoot. You have to shoot and move. Ill give you the bushes are bullshit. Most of the game can be completed solo. I would guarantee ive got your 70hrs beat. With far less issues. If you get disconnected from a server you dont loose anything. You load back into the base with everything you had at the time of disconnect. Unless you get the error players information could not be found. Ive had that happen twice. Ive had to walk back to camp twice because i couldn't interact with anything. Did it suck? Yes. But i put my big boy pants on and kept playing the early access game.

early access isnt an excuse, these games are released with 20% of the game complete. its not early access, it should be PRE-ALPHA and should be FREE during this period. charging for a game that is in the state GZW is in is more of a scam than project leet, and ABI and project leet are 100x better games than GZW right now.

I don't know this guy but I don't understand why sometimes a large group of ppl decide to mass attack someone when they are giving their opinion. lot of hate on the comments. I feel like most of them are ppl that are in honey moon phase with the game and are blind with its flaws. I'm sure he would have loved it if it was years ago but we have been let down by so many games like this by not releasing for years, sometimes even more than a decade, while not even fixing most of the day one bugs and flaws. that is why he is done with it. this hate reminds me exactly around 2018 when few ppl including me used to try letting our voice to be heard by Tarkov developers on forums and videos but what we got back instead was bunch of angry fan boys with comments like git gud, go play cod, then stop playing, it's beta and etc. And look where that got us? a broken game, with a scam on top of it. Its clearly not a skill issue! You can see, you can almost *feel* how bad it is in some of the moments you show in the video. Its just really a shame that this is the tendency now, with early Access games! Its like you said: The problem is not the game being on EA, its the fact that it released so early that it kinda ruins itself to so many previously hyped fans. Now its gonna take a buttload of time for it to get "good" and you just know a huge portion of the players will just abandon it.

GZW is great game under one consition. You have functional brain and at least one working eye so you have means to comprehend you are getting yourselfs into early access game that does not have an alternative at this point (similar games yes, not games that do the same thing). Its purpose is to help developers making the game better and they are extremely vocal about their desire to build the game with the help of community. The alternative is you wanting a refund after 70 hours in game and making a dumb video on internet. Your choice my friends.

"The bullet bounce on his helmet" ????????(ever if there is not such a mechanic in the game) You clearly can see you are out of "stamina / breath" when you trying to hit/aim his head and also you can see the bullet impact on the wall ???? This is content is getting so stale. Everyone and their mother bandwagoning for easy, ragey, click-baity content like they’re making some monumental stand against developers releasing games in early access. It’s on the tin when you go to buy it, so play it or don’t. I decided after the 2 hour mark to keep it because I was enjoying it in its current state. Even with server issues there’s already hours of video guides out there on how to get the game to run more smoothly on your system. I’m quite encouraged by the latest briefing put out by the studio being as transparent as it was, we pretty much never see that any more. You want a refund after playing the majority of the game’s current content? Do you ask for a refund after finishing a meal at a restaurant?

I don't like your reviews I have had a great experience with GZ and my PC runs it flawlessly, so um yeah. Is it perfect no does it need updates yes do the developers need to fix and add items in the game yes. Issues players are having have a lot to do with PC and network connection.

I felt the review was a tad biased and maybe holding it in comparison of a fully released game (like how triple a titles be). At the very least this review should've been "if you don't mind play testing an early access game, for it, if not then wait til its more polished".

@@GrumpyEyeGaming To each their own, but I disagree. I got my base copy for $35 USD (which is less than half of most triple A titles these days). If people are on the fence for a EA title, I definitely don't recommend getting the supporters DLC's that are optional (and offer very little to the experience).

The game is TACKY and unfinished af. Its actually in a terrible state. the gunplay is terrible, the game loop it self is really obnoxious, the management by the devs / staff is terrible. the servers are terrible, it has ZERO content apart from a 100+ terrible quests, The visuals are decent but over rated.. Using early access is NOT an excuse, considering even ABI which is a mobile port is 100% better and more complete, hell , even project l33t is better than GZW at this point.
