Personally I have experience of both kind of models. My observation is that it's better to have rental. Let me share my experience: I have HUL Ro purifier which I bought in 2018 for 14k for my parents. After that I have to spend around 3-6k per year on maintenance as different filters have different life. Plus the pump has been changed twice and for last 2 years the output from the tap is slow, but the repair person says it's fine. Secondly, I have rented water purifier from 2016 in Bangalore. Experience was super smooth, every 4-5 months they call themselves for service and change the filters. Once ants entered the chamber, they replaced the whole unit. No fuss no issues. I have a purifier which works perfectly. According to my research, 2nd hand purifier sell for very less money. So I don't think there is any reason to spend huge sum of money upfront on buying RO and AMC plans in long term you will be stuck with a very inferior product. Just think about any electronic product in your house which is 5 years old. You cant replace it even if there are latest models with more features, but if you had rented it you could easily get a new one every year.

True that - I have used both owned and rented. Now only using rented. The hassle to fix your own RO unit is too much headache with bad service and frauds who install fake parts. Rent it and leave the trouble to the troublemakers :)

I am using rental it's better for example cities like banglore where water level TDS is near 1000. I already changed the filter and RO membrane 2 times. if we buy maintainence is very expensive.

I had Aquaguard Magna HD. Their AMC was 6000Rs with 2 maintenance visits only per year. I packed it and switched to Livpure Rental which costs me 4188Rs per year. Also I can call maintenance people any number of time. Aquaguard now is reducing its AMC to 5400Rs after seeing competition killing them. And also, water quality wise there is no difference. Aquaguard was looting people by its business practises.

@@SumitYPF Did not understand what you meant by recovery. But when I took livpure connection first time, I only paid 1.5k for unit advance + installation (which is returnable if I close the connection) and 4500 as yearly rental charge. So in 6k, I got unit and yearly usage. This the price I would have paid just for aquaguard AMC. Also I saw more parts failure in aquaguard as compared to livpure so far. I used that 17k Rs aquaguard for 4-5 years and using livpure from 2 years. Also livpure model gives daily water consumption through mobile app, which is a good feature for managing your consumption.

Recovery Rate Means Water Wastage Ratio Ex. 60% means, For 1 liter of unpurified water. 600ml of purified water will be provided. While 400ml will be rejected as waste water

As per my personal experience please do not go with rental ro as there will be lot of issues while cancelling the subscription as they will not pickup the ro that easily so we need to waste lot of time by calling them to pick the ro, would be better to buy new one rather than this rental ro....

Dont just laugh and get away with the facts..Please learn maths and try to understand below calculations I’m an engineer.. alteast dont challenge any engineer in maths Livpure Bolt (rental) total cost for 5 years= 6300 * 5 = 31500 Livpure Glo total cost for 5 years= 7799 (buying cost) + 4*5499 (AMC for 4 years) = 29795 Livpure Glo cost lesser as compared to Livpure Bolt (rental) Net profit if we choose Livpure Glo = 31500 - 29795 = 1705 itna explain nhi karta main.. agar mujhe jara sa bhi lagta ki aap ko maths aata he.. bas excel mein calculations kiye toh woh sahi rahte aisa nhi hota 😂

Not recommended for this smart water purifier. This will be highly chargeable and you will not consider any alteration required or replacement.
