Nope, it was not made to be a "complete truck", and that has never been the claim. It is an interesting crossover between a car and a truck. Having said that, the liner in the bed of my 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad is exactly the same material. It is durable and does the job, but yes it is going to get scratched. And the Tacoma IS a complete truck, so I don't really get the point behind the comparison. We love our Santa Cruz. It is exactly what we hoped and what we paid for.

Just bought my Santa Cruz 2 weeks ago, Love Love it. Fun to drive, Easy to drive, and the Atlas White is definitely an eye catcher. 2.5 Turbo is very very peppy. This is my first ever vehicle that was not a Ford, Dodge, Pontiac, or GMC, and you know what NO REGRETS.

They’re CUP holders, not BOTTLE holders!! 🙄 (Although I have yet to find a 12oz. bottle of water or soda that doesn’t fit!) I’ve had a ‘23 Santa Cruz SEL Premium with the 281 HP turbo for 11 months. No problems, no complaints. No, not a big truck. Didn’t need one. Most comfortable riding vehicle I’ve ever had.

Meh, this guy should’ve bought a F150 or Silverado. I’m rough as Hell on my 23 Santa Cruz Limited and love it. It’s not let me down yet & I treat it the same as my Silverado before I sold it. Fantastic little “truck”.

Test drove a 23 SEL Premium in blue stone Friday... Decided Im going to place an order for a 2023 Limited at the end of the month in Atlas White. For a few extra grand I feel like the leather, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, blind spot cameras and extra tech are worth it since Ill be keeping it for years. It will be replacing my daily driver (370z) getting old is fun lol

Okay confusing. You telling us why not to buy it. The only reason you don't want to buy it it's because the bed scratches and cup holders do not hold Gatorade bottle... Not very informative not very well to the point. Bad video!!!

@@jordantcox I have a 2023 Model, This Video Title is awful considering your reason is the Truck Bed possibly having scratches during loading and the cup holders not large enough to your liking. Most don't care about that, reliability and build quality are. For those considering, I own a 2023 and recommend it to all. Don't listen to this nonsense.

@@jordantcox appreciate the response and the taking of constructive criticism. I am more than pleased with the vehicle. I originally was looking at the Ford Maverick but went with this because, in my opinion, the interior seemed more polished and/or more aesthetically pleasing to my particular taste. Mine is the 2023 Sage Gray, which is rather more of a green hue. It is also the trim level that I believe they call the Sports Activity Package that has the Tonneau Cover. With this trim, I get the non-turbo which for me I was fine with as I don't intend to tow much and I feel the response was just fine for me. That is personal taste. Overall with just now hitting 1700 Miles, I am pleased. I will gladly return to your channel and watch future videos and look forward to doing so. All the best, I will give an update as time goes on if you or your subscribers would like for me to do so.

@smokey433 Question? I'm a mom of a 3yr old who's had a Chevy Equinox for the last 6yrs. I am so captivated by this truck especially the interior & the idea of having a bed in the event my kid plays sports over the next few years. My only concern is the lack of backseat space. I've been watching several video's & it seems tight so I'm not sure if I want to make my kid so uncomfortable for the next few years! Any thoughts?

Mines getting delivered in a couple months. Gonna be using mine mostly for my small business building workbenchs. Lots of plywood 2x4, 4x4 and solid core door trips. Also it's gonna be extremely helpful for the landscape remodel of my back yard later this summer. Can't wait

I've had my 2022 S Cruz for a year now. SEL AWD 2.5 na motor. First thing I bought was a soft tonneau cover, class III hitch and Falken Wildpeak AT 18" tires. I'm very happy with it. plows thru 2 feet of snow no problen in the U.P. of Michigan where we get 20+ feet a year

Had my santa cruz for 10 months and I use it for everything from driving to grocery store to driving to work to hog hunting out of. I throw a dog box in and out of it multiple times a week and I've hauled tons of stuff in it and so far the bed is holding up absolutely as it should. Hopefully the lift and tires are coming soon.

You didn't like the plastic in the bed, First, that's a bed liner and that's how most of them are, and second it's a pickup I'm all for keeping cars nice but cars serve us we don't serve cars so I understand taking care of the interior but that's the bed of a well... trucklet

I waited years for the Santa Cruz. I’ve loved both of my Hyundais. However, I can’t subject my kids to that backseat. I’m disappointed they didn’t make it a few inches longer/more practical.

For sure, they could have made it just a little larger in the back seat as well as just a little taller. I'm somewhat shorter which means I'm comfortable with the front. I didn't try the carseat test but I can visually tell it will be tight. How long have you had your Santa Cruz?

Hyundai Santa Cruz door gasket didn't last 7,000mi. For someone taller than 6ft, butt rubs against gasket on entry. Not considered a warranty issue, though we think it is a design flaw.
