I love the look of the garden party in Togo leather. I see it once in a while and you can just see that the leather is out of this world. Love that most ppl can’t recognize it, who needs the attention? Chasing it…size 30 in Etoupe. Sigh.

I am chasing a bag (or a couple) in etaupe... why does this color have to be so high in demand?! I never thought a brown bag would be so hard to come by. my favorite part is the contrast stitching when a bag is etaupe.

I like the GP- it is a bag and if you have seen it made before as a Trader Joe bag it is because the design makes so much sense. The straps do double duty by providing strength to the bag on both the Trader Joe version and the Hermes bag. At the end of the day (a phrase I usually avoid because it doesn't elevate your statements) it is just a bag and a tote bag at that. It isn't a work of art or an idol or a reason to get up in the morning. . It is a tote bag and looks like a tote bag. There is a reason you will never see a utilitarian bag that looks like a Birkin or Kelly, they aren't well designed to hold things. The closures are too complicated. No one ever closes her bag. Everyone walks around with it open. Jane Birkin infamously didn't care for the bag designed in her honor. She complained about it bitterly until she reached a certain age and decided that embracing the bag probably made more sense than fighting it.

The garden party isn’t my personal aesthetic, but I got one to use as a diaper bag (I hatedddd the actual Hermes diaper bag with the embroidery) and with an organizer in it, it has held up so well and been very functional. Now that we aren’t in the baby stage anymore, I find myself just throwing anything extra in my birkin 30. The garden party for a newborn was really great though!

Hello GPS, agree with you, aller from the silver jewelry. I am not a gold or rose gold hardware person. Also, dinty tiny pieces that everyone layers is not my cup of the tea. The H silver line offers a range of chunky substantial pieces that are stress free to use daily.That is more my alley. Again, this what works for me 😊

I usually put a full size Hermes baseball cap on my bag. Practical for walking around the city (and on the beach) and cheaper than the silly charms.

Hi! I have the exact Hermès bracelet you showed (chaîne d'ancre) and I can tell you the quality is top notch. It's not as luxurious as gold but it is solid silver and it is quite heavy. Even though it might tarnish over time I am sure you can have it cleaned and it will last you a lifetime without a doubt.

I relate to your umbrella problem. I gave up on expensive umbrellas long, long ago. Always I lost them. Ironically, since opting exclusively for cheapie umbrellas, I recall that I have only ever lost one. I think that if someone had a Christmas Tree and all the money in the world, the Oran Sandal Bag Charm would be a lovely tree ornament. I like the Garden Party bag, but it does not have a shoulder strap, so it is not for me. Thank you for the video!

The GP, esp in canvas, reminds me of the old LLBean tote bags for a 10th of the price. No real style imo, and so many other bags that are gorgeous and functional for the same price or less. I feel like some people will buy any bag from H for the cache they think it brings them.

I completely agree with the phone cases. I wonder who likes buying these for such a short time to use? I change about all 3/4 years my phone, so buying a designer phone case does not make sense for me. Many people change their phone even every year. I personally never buy any jewelry from designer brands. I was tempted to buy a panther ring from Cartier for some time, but there is always a detail I can complain about. For example I want the panthers eyes to be emerald not tsavorite. I do like your horse themed pinky ring though. A bit tempting, I admit :). I love fine jewelry and decided many ears ago to buy only custom made pieces. I love working with my jeweler creating something unique and to my wishes. That way I can also support a small business. Btw, all in black you look a tad bit related to Clark Kent/Superman :).

Yeah absolutely agree on all your picks. When i see the Lindy, i was wondering what an odd shape and looks so floppy design and very far from the Kelly that i admired. No way to those bag charms, for Rodeo perhaps 1 or 2 would be good. With so much money, i rather save a bit more for a belt which at least can be worn and elevate the look in my opinion. The garden party is so ordinary that i can get so much sleeker looking one with a fraction of the price.

Completely agree with you about the Lindy. The garden party Amazonia was my first Hermes bag. But yes, it has a bit of a dumpy look to it. As far as the bag charms, I never use bag charms, but I loooooove the tiny orange Hermes bag bag charm.

I got my mini Kelly in 2020 and it still sitting in my closet. 😢why? Bc of the strap. It’s too short. The mini Kelly looks like I have a third boob when I carry it crossbody. So sad. And I don’t understand why hanging a sandal on the bag neither. Might as well buy a pair of women sandal size 32 and put one of them on a B35/B40 lol
