No they did. This is the most anyone has ever gotten out of them. I love this. It gave me some respect to apple for going to mrmobile. For the record they responded you just have to pay attention happily because the technology isn’t quite ready yet. They wanted to start anyways with the physical button that they are actually measuring so it’s not just waiting for action. They also said that they couldn’t shrink technology just yet. She also noted that people want more colors in the line and they’ve heard it but they’re still happy with what they have. That’s a marking. She’s not gonna say oops we messed up. I didn’t make a bright color.

That exec refusing to use the word "button" like he'd be shot by Tim Cook off stage if he did I found hilarious. This is why people can't stand these kind of interviews. As nothing the execs say will be of any value. They just repeat already announced talking points and come off as PR robots in the process. It never feels like actual human beings are sharing their actual feelings or beliefs on any subject.

@pacmonster066
@pacmonster066 3 ай бұрын
@@javezkeith2537 I honestly don't understand why. They will never speak honestly and you can predict every word they're going to say before they say it. You can say, well the interviewer can press them if they're evasive, but all that will do is blacklist the interviewer from ever speaking with that company again and other executives won't want to speak with them either. So it inevitably results in the interviewer throwing out softballs or just being overly mindful of what they ask to not phrase it like they're cornering the executive.

I just don't get it. It's a button. Call it a button. It doesn't diminish the other things the button can do to say what it is. If they want to use the marketing jargon in official marketing material, fine, people ignore 90% of that crap anyway. But in an interview where another person is asking you about the thing that is clearly a button, to refuse to acknowledge it even then? This is why execs come off as PR robots and not human beings.

Hey Android users, listen up. If you have an Android phone like the S23 or S24, don't act like it's the best thing ever, especially if it's an expensive model like the Google Pixel phones. Why? Because if it gets stolen, thieves can easily resell it and make a lot of money. On the other hand, if you have an iPhone, like the $2000 1TB model, if it's stolen, it can't be unlocked, and the parts are locked to the user's Apple ID. So, it's worth spending the extra money on an iPhone because at least if it's stolen, you can feel secure knowing that the thief won't be able to use it. But if your expensive Android phone gets stolen, the thief will make a profit and you'll be at a loss.

Because, it’s generally agreed upon that humans struggle to see or even detect anything over 60hz. Because our eyes have actual biological limitations. Even in the situations the human eye may detect a higher number, it is certainly not on a screen less than 7 inches. It is literally all in your head. Specs and marketing, all companies do it, hence the iPhone Pro models and all the others.

@@jimmyw7530eh I have to disagree. Not everyone can see it or cares, and even I have to admit that is hard to SEE the difference But! FEELING the difference is night and day. It feels smoother and considering that touch is how we interact with our devices, and further considering how expensive iPhones are and how ubiquitous high refresh rate has become, it's not a bad suggestion from certain customers to want higher refresh rates on their "base" iPhones

They only mentioned using it as a two-stage shutter (some sort of touch or half-press for the first stage) during the Pro part of the presentation, do you know if 1) it works on both and 2) if it feels good? I miss two-stage shutter buttons and I'm willing to switch to Apple for a phone with it.

They can call it what they want, it is still a button. I'm pretty sure other phones had the two step button of a regular camera. Also I seem to recall some phones that had a fingerprint reader on the side on the actual power button that let you do capacitive stuff like scroll but I could be mistaken there. Well at least the non-pro versions look a bit different, like an iPhone X brought into the future.

I was tentative about even watching this video because it's felt recently like Apple has been a follower rather than a leader through the last few phone cycles. But then that camera control! Oh my god!! So exciting! Feels like something that no-one else is doing and like something everyone's going to be trying to replicate.

@@Koji-Alistair The problem is that if Apple ran into issues it becomes a meme and another reason for the anti-Apple mob to troll. A sensible company will avoid risk taking like this. Apple does not need to do anything flashy as they continue to dominate smartphone profits., It is up to rivals to push them to make more exciting events and phones and neither Samsung or Google are doing that effectively at the moment. So Apple can sail in a calm breeze.

@@andyH_England No one said anything about a company needing to be flashy to do a live demo of their feature. If Apple couldn't even be bothered to do any sort of live demos to demonstrate what their products are capable of, that implies that they have little to no confidence in their own products. Which also means that they have little to nothing new to offer consumers.
