imo characters are all that matters. they bring new and refreshing gameplay that weapons do not(weapons can still bring forward new gameplay but not even close to a whole character.). plus even if it makes content more difficult i'll still get to play the game normally instead of ez mode. win win.

Had to grab Tololo weapon since she’s my main. Managed to get Suomi weapon AFTER I got Sabrina’s from summons. For me is it doesn’t say 100% odds are I’m losing the 50/50 or whatever rate they say.

@@orakatokansek the point is you get closer to a weapon that you may require but cannot get anywhere else but limited. All weapons in the shop you can get from all pulls eventually. But if you need a limited one it's not about "chance". You pull until you get it and that's it. 30 tickets get you closer on that linear line, this weapon/doll, or the next. Where I see a lack of judgement in the vid is "if the next doll is...", like it matters if we can't trade them for pulls anyway yet. So even if the next doll is Klukay, 900 points will be worthless for that anyway. I will probably trade points for weapons I miss. First copy is worth a lot.

Smart thing is always middle ground. You need 2x golden melody 1x Planeta for multiple teams and 2x Sniper Rifle for frost (one can be signature or both standard) for end game if you are f2p/low spender. But you don't need all of them from the start, only one that you use at the moment. And no sr aren't good enough they are quite a garbage.

- For 5* weapons, I have Unspoken Calling, Heart Seeker and Planeta - For 5* characters, i have V1 Suomi, Mosin Nagant, Sabrina and V2 Vepley. Aside from these, I use V4 Cheeta, V6 Lotta and V1 Nemesis frequently - My future pull route is probably something like V1 and ideally C1 Macchiato > Dushevnaya > Klukay > Springfield in terms of priority, and I will use my standard selector on Qiongjiu - Golden Melody is obviously really good, but I don’t yet have another strong AR unit until the standard selector comes into play and I own Planeta already. I was thinking of buying Samosek and using it on Mosin Nagant for the moment, then giving it to Macchiato if I can’t get C1 or Dushevnaya if I can, but I don’t really know how good Mezzaluna is on Sabrina compared to other options. I mainly use Heart Seeker on Lotta as my primary AoE unit for the time being since she synergises extremely well with Suomi. Mainly worried that my account will be too Sniper focused so I should fix my weapon situation asap

It comes to, weapons that are on the standard banner (that we will continue to get a lot of pulls for) VS targeted summons that will allow you to get limited characters/weapons. So yeah, early on it might sound like a good deal to grab some of these weapons, but later on I think you're going to regret it. Cause you'll get those weapons soon or later from standard banner, while targeted pulls comes in extremely limited amount.

You only get about 25 standard pulls a month going forward, and about 70 targeted pulls (assuming you're not spending collapse on standard pulls). The launch flood of standard tickets is drying up rapidly. Unless you're planning on pulling weapon banners, you aren't going to be getting many of these, and if you do care about weapons enough to pull them instead of characters then these shop weapons are a bargain.

I'd be more inclined to go for pulls if these welfare weapons were like in HSR where they feel watered down compared to the "real" light cones you only get from pulling on rate-ups. But that is not the case. Here some of these are actual BiS on meta characters. Klukai's BiS, who everybody should be pulling for because she's cracked, is Planeta. You absolutely are going to want to have at least 1 Planeta, full stop. Qiongjiu's BiS is Golden Melody. Peritya's is Optical Illusion. Sabrina's is Mezzaluna. This aren't the welfare BiS F2P options - these are BiS period. Most F2P right now have pulled 3-4 SSRs. They aren't going to be pulling weapon banners, and they're going to be saving every last collapse for rate-ups. Standard banner pulls now that the initial flood of Access Permissions is used up are going to be from the ~25 regular Access Permissions you can get each month. So that's a Standard pool SSR every 2-3 months. It's 50/50 to even get a weapon so you'd only be getting 2-3 of these weapons a year going forward, and with no control over which ones. Unless your recommendation is that players should be using collapse pieces to roll standard banner instead of going for limited rate-ups, then no, players aren't going to be getting many of these at all through normal pulling going forward. Buying them here is going to be the main way you'll ever get them.

It's easy for me, I don't need any weapons anymore. That's all I get from the standard banner. But at least I got the good ones. Got 2 copies of Golden Melody (one from selector), Planeta and a Heart Seaker. So now I run my QJ with Golden Melody, Sharky with Planeta and I got the battle pass one for my Suomi (not pulling her weapon). Team feel pretty great!

I choose my first Golden Melody from the box for my QJ, then got a second copy pulling on the standard banner. I mainly bought it because it's a nice deal and I wanted Suomi. Took me 150 tickets to get her, so yeah, there's that.

I didnt know they added summons to that shop, I got planeta from an summon and I don't have a QJ yet so im going to save for sure. I do really like Mosin but as of now the content we have just seems to be level gated and it does not require to have BIS weapons and max skills/abilities to clear so im not worried about her gun

It doesn't matter if they add summons. Just like in HSR, you should at least clear out some or most of the weapons, just so you have an SSR of every class. Cause not everyone likes pulling on weapon banners. Then go ham with pulls once you don't need any of those weapons.

It is good to guarantee a pull if you need it, but sometimes if there's a very good character coming up, having those 30 extra pulls can be the difference between getting them on pity or not. In Honkai Star Rail I had the exact situation of buying Clara's lightcone (HSR's weapon) since she was my main carry early in the game, and immediately pull a dupe of it in the standard banner on the next day. Having said that, having multipurpose weapons or just something that is the BiS for someone you know you will play for a long time is likely worth it. I'm using Shakry right now, if Planeta is good for many AR users I might get it when I reach 900 of that currency, depending on which character show up on the next banner.

I got Tololo's gun just to make her as strong as possible. Unfortunately i got dupe of Vepley (instead of new character) and standard also dropped me her gun. And then cat girl. It feels like Groza actually works better than cat girl at higher difficulty, but support attack on aoe is cool (she attacks every aoe target one by one). Usually i don't pull for weapons, but for some reason i thought it's a good idea to get Suomi's gun for a better solo sustain with stats.

i could buy all standard guns because i have all standard characters lol, f2p acc with E1 suomi(whatever the constellations is called), in 270 pulls i got 5 standard characters, 1 5 star weapon and 1 suomi, my luckiest gacha account ever. video was very helpful which gun to choose tho since i am determined to stay f2p on this game, worst case scenario a super low spender(e.g getting a monthly pass every 4-5 months) quick edit: it was my reroll account that became my main account, i dont remember how many times i rerolled to get the account(was rerolling till i got tololo so i can carry myself through early game quickly, QJ/ sabrina was fine too)

I bought QJ's weapon from the shop before stopping my rolls too. Imo it is 100% worth it to guarantee her the weapon by buying it (ofcourse as long as you didn't already pull it or buy it with money) rather than save for 30 rolls and MAYBE get it in the future like one year later. QJ is still one of the top 4 dps in CN server after a year, while being a day 1 release char and Golden Melody is her BiS. It's just future proof for global. By the time something significantly better comes out, we'll definitely have enough rolls to get them and their signature weapons. In fact it's better than going for Planeta (again, not considering if you got it from rolls) since Tololo/Sharkry are both not as good as QJ in tougher content and all the new banner Elites will have their own rate up weapons designed for their own kits.

Hmm. This sort of depends on what you are going for because in essence the idea of what you're saying means that only one copy is useful. But an AR like the Planeta if that is what you are thinking of buying is actually pretty damn good on multiple current units and future units, so having a couple built up ones of it to put on different characters wouldn't even be a bad thing. For example, how many people are using Sharkry and Tololo, well both their bis is the planeta. How many people plan to pull on Klukai? Her bis pre v3 is the planeta. You shouldn't feel burned if you buy one and then get another one later.

If you can get 900 points this early, imagine how many more for saving up until Klukai banner & You gonna need her to at least v3. With me in this early game a guarantee weapon will boost my progress and it more fun than waiting for month for shop change. and with the boost ssr weapon bring for my team it help me clear more harder content and get more reward overtime. I play many gacha game as f2p and i think at least every patch you will at least almost guarantee the character. So with me the fun from getting ssr weapon early keep me more hype than waiting for future i won't know. Example if the next banner will be character you not like and you will save up and next banner still not good character then you will get bored very soon. So with me there no mistake, it your choice your own game not other so if it fun the just do it don't bother someone else saying it view it as advise and make your own choice.

My patented gacha technique is to never spend currency on standard banners, only the tickets once I get to 10, and then save the currency for limited banners (or simply put, only grind for limiteds). All I need to know is, are these weapons drops on character banners? I have yet to pull a gold weapon, but I do have QJ and she's more or less driving my progress right now. Someone else mentioned something, if the summon exchange is for limited tickets or standard tickets, then I prefer to pull new characters over maximizing a single one. Variety in strategy games is better than a single brute force character, at least that has been my experience.

psa : this guy seems to be downplayed these weapons a lot, golden melody actually will be BiS for multiple units in fact Samosek+Golden melody will straight up be dps unit BiS for f2p player(meaning they only lose to signature/bp waepon) also Planeta actually BiS for Klukai, her Signature will be better only when she v3+ tldr : 1st copy of golden melody/Samosek/Planeta is worth more than 30 pull unless you are sig weapon puller/BP buyer

It depends, i still need like 33 pulls to guarantee a random elite weapon in my standard banner. Im just waiting until i get enough free standard tickets. If i dont get QJ or Tololo weapon then i might use it.

I try a friend QJ lv 26 with golden melody she did 638 damage per shot. She defeated the boss of chapter 4 in 3 attacks( well QJ 90% DMG 10% the other girls)😂

For BP 1 copy of HG and Max SMG. You don't have any other ssr HG and all SMG characters have BP one as second best. Other you have to small quantity of characters or they are not even 3rd choice in most cases. If you have max SMG you should look at what you need on specific characters.
