Now Filipino viewers here are very confused. The song is an old time favorite in the Philippines and the two singers looked like them. However, the singers are Mizos from northeast India. The singers don't resemble the normal indian because their region that includes Mizoram was integrated by the British with greater India. The people in that area looked similar with burmese, thais, filipinos, malays, indonesians or most of southeast asian people. Mizos are good singers and filipinos really recognized and very appreciative of these singers who performed their favorite song. I think the majority of viewers here are from the Philippines.

I'm from Myanmar. I really love this cover version and often listen to it all along. And in my country, Myanmar Idol is quite popular now. This week is for country song. When I heard of Country song, this song first came into my mind. Coincidentally , there are 4 contestants who are the same ethnicity with people from Mizoram & Nagaland (We, burmese, call them "Chin" people). I wish one of them sing this song for country song category. And people from Mizoram are also supporting our "Chin" contestants in Myanmar idol. Thank u and god bless u all.

Their physical features looks very similar with the Cordillera people in the northern Philippines. Even the male singer has a voice that is very similar with Joel Tingbaoen, the famous singer from the mountain provinces. Their diction and pronunciation are much like the people from these areas. There's not much difference how the western style bands in Baguio performs. It's very interesting to note that they are from Mizoram in Northeast India and very few Filipinos and even SE Asians knew about the ancient history and culture of the Mizoram people. Anyway, music can unite different people in the world. So let's just appreciate and congratulate them for having more than 30 million views and enjoy this all-time favorite song of the Filipinos.

One of the reasons why this video reached 1 million views is because of my grandson Jack. Since day one he was born I already used this as my lullaby to him. Everytime any of us put him to sleep we used this video/music. In one day maybe we used this hundred times because we have to repeat this so many times so he will go to sleep. He is now a 4-year old Half Caucasian half Filipino and can even sing the whole song with perfect melody because he even memorize the lyrics. Mizo artist are very terrific! I could still remember the songs of Michael M. Sailo, I don't know him totally but his songs catch my attention so search his songs😍a duet with Spi- though I found he's already gone..so sad. . In a day I keep on playing songs over and over again..now here's another mizo artist to be loved..of course it added to my playlist-Dont cry Joni mizo artist version.. though some of their songs I dont understand the wordings but I love the melody and everything😍😍😚😚😚 I love mizoooo artists☺ From Philippines☺

This song was written by Conway Twitty and was originally recorded by Conway and his daughter Joni and released in 1975. I love this song by Conway and Joni and I think it is one of the most beautiful (and sad) songs Conway has recorded but I LOVED it by the two of you as well. The young lady who sings Joni's part has such a pure and beautiful voice (as did Joni Twitty) and the man's voice was right up there on a par with Conway himself. I just found this and I have been playing it over and over. You did a magnificent job. Conway would be proud of this great cover. The Mizos, who inhabit the State of Mizoram in NE India, are known for their love of music, like most other people from the NE. They are hard working people and also love to have a good time. They are known for their prowess in football and boxing. There's a lot of similarity of Filipino and Mizoram, i think that because mizo are 87% christian ( baptist and presbyterian) that makes them also good in music like the philppines, most of the good singer were grown in the church served as a member of music ministry. mizoram also speak english as thier second language just like Philippines, of course, their religion connect them to US more.
