You’re way way way too late to the party Skilsaw. Hilti’s been the world leader in concrete tools. Concrete dust vac with DCH-300 or DCH-230 been out for number of years and i got them both. And dust extraction is 100 times better then this skilsaw. So thumbs 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

He is absolutely right about silica dust too. Regulations have gotten heavy because the stuff is deadly. From what I’ve seen, silicosis is like slowly drowning. I’m glad to see people talking about it, and tool companies making it easier for us to keep safe!!

This saw is awesome, I’m a concrete cutter myself. But I use this for a lot of decorative cutting in small areas where I can’t swing my flat saw around. Also good for cutting small Chanel’s. Where you cut multiple passes then snap them out with a chipping hammer

The spalling is an issue. I have a 20 year old soffcut electric, that they quit making, may have started again. The shoeplate rides directly on the surface and the side clearance to the blade is @100/in. Virtually never spells, if it does it's @16/in. at most. Brother has that skill Medusa unit, was cutting today on yesterday's pour, had to stop because of the spalling. The handle extensions make a huge difference. Told him about the DeWalt you tested there, but no handle extension...

Another thing about diamond blades, they are different depending on region. When buying for our soff cut saw, the blades are colored for each region of the US (or world). Different stones, sands, etc are harder or softer depending on the materials available to them.
