Pushing the main trio of fighting buildings from 69 to 80 only results in a _cumulative_ increase of 15 attack and defense. It's such a huge investment of FPs for very little in return. You can get that by throwing down about TWO cider gardens that also pay you FPs. Much better to do that and use your FPs to level the Blue Galaxy to get fragments quicker, AO, Arc, and Seed Vault for diamonds.

Exactly, I deleted my CdM and replaced that space with Ciders and had way better stats. I'm making 2 per day so it's getting kind of crazy.

If you have a high level arc, it's not really an investment of fps, more like time. If you are in a good guild, you go through levels insanely fast, the hardest part is getting the blueprints to unlock more levels. Granted I'm very lucky, my server, sinerania ia has casual guilds that have really high level people in them.

I enjoyed this video again, and it's a good follow on from your last few about the power creep element of the game (and deletion of previous superfluous/power crept-type GBs). As a player we're kind of at a cross roads with quite a few things as to what to keep/sell/delete because of the power creep and realigning of mainly event buildings but also the potential for GBs in order for them to catch up if they are to retain their status as "Great" Buildings, otherwise why would you and your guild pour thousands of FPs into them if the return on them is superceded by an event building or two in the same footprint? Your Cider Garden flywheel (nice terminology btw) is a good example of this - I'm intrigued to see what your city is going to look like with a town hall, a few GBs, the odd road and several hundred Cider Gardens. I know the whole point of this game is to play it the way you want, and ultimately the ever increasing drive for efficiency, but sure Inno didn't envisage a city made up entirely of Cider Gardens, just because of their efficiency? The ever increasing power creep of everything and the advantages it brings players is what I think Inno are trying to address with QI. It's not perfect by any means, but everyone is exactly the same - the same start point, the same resources, the same access to everything, and manual fighting. Taking the game back to basics, and an even playing field.

26:20 The CF should also stay if you think you will be playing into the next era, when it comes out. A big CF buff helps a LOT when advancing through new era technologies. It's not just for recurring quests.

Thank you for your video. I have looked closely at my thrown together city as a result, and have deleted a World's Fair plus a Contestant's Estate in favour of a Blue Galaxy. I have no intention of deleting my Alcatraz because I really like the free troops. But I do plan on uplevelling my Zeus and Observatory. Thanks for making me look and think about this. 😁

With the new Eco Sanctum delivering 30 troops of the next age, players NOT in Titan will definitely want that building. Imagine being in TE and getting 30 Future troops daily. For cities in earlier ages, removing Trz in favour of the Eco Sanctum is not unreasonable.

Thanks for the comment. I think the stronger argument would be the lower ages before the space eras. The reason I say this is because every space era has very strong units even if it’s a previous age. Where it think this is the biggest advantage will be all eras prior to AF.

I play on 4 worlds, home world is traditional in the logic of older times. On each of the other worlds is an experiment in GB power. From what I'm seeing the new special blds and no traz works well. To compensate doubling up on what unit's barracks more than compensates.

As for as traz goes, it depends on how high a level it is. There are people with a level 140 to 160 traz in a level 100 guild, it would not make sense to delete that. If you have lower level traz, then I could see deleting it.

I have 51 Cider gardens in my city and another 30+ in my inventory. The problem, at least in my era is the troops it makes aren't all that useful. Maybe it's different in Titan. I know you get rogues from it in Titan and that's pretty valuable. I still have about 15 jumping pumpkins but I wonder if the wyvern smithy might replace it. It's bigger than the JP but better stats no negative pop, and at level 2 no road needed, but it will be slow process.

Right on all accounts. In SAT it’s rogues and fast units. Which in SAT is exactly what I happen to need. I now sell all my pumpkins due to reasons mentioned.

I'm almost out of Oceanic Future and I unfortunately still need my traz (especially for rogues). If I was in Space Age TItan, I would probably delete my traz because the cider gardens make rogues then. I have event buildings that generate other units. Also my old guild yelled at me for leveling up Blue Galaxy before my arc was 80 or my Zeus/Aachen/CdM were higher. Needless to say I have a new guild now. You are right about the older players giving newer players (like myself who has only been playing 6 months) bad information. Luckily I can do math and I've passed 5 year or more players in GBG attack and defense. Follow the math folks....

You can also get Rogues from the Raccoon Hideout (Wildlife event small special building), or from Himeji and Space Carrier rewards (when they proc), if you have those GBs.

What happens if you receive next age units while in the last age?

These are referred to as captured units. Likely by exploring ahead on the map, depending on what they are, you should take very good care of them. It can be a positive gaming strategy to use next age units in your current age. You just don’t want them to perish. If they do, you can restore them with diamonds, the reason is a lot more powerful than the current age units would be fighting GE or guild battlegrounds, etc.

Hi, nice content. I agree with you on most of the points. Also deleting ur Alcatraz makes sence now in your situation, by explaining it completly in details. But i hardly can believe the light unit is best. The cider garden ist truly a very strong building and worth placing tons of, if you do not care about getting massive goods for the 3 Titan GBs. But that is one thing which makes that game good, alot of different stragies. I would never help others to build the DC, it is absolutly not worth it. I also dont think they will rebalance all other GBs, simply because you dont need to spend money to get them. Selling stuff at the Antique dealer does not give castle points. The FOE helper shows the list of what does. PS: Your voice is very pleasent to hear and anyone saying something bad is envious of you.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. In SAT, the ciders put out fast units and rogues. It's an odd tweak vs lower eras. Agreed light units are not helpful in those lower eras. Thanks for the compliment! I'm certainly appreciating finding an audience that doesn't mind narration style videos vs. going straight for the fast and perfect. This is a very slow methodical game. No need to be in a hurry.

Well, deleting Traz has been on my mind many times since 2017 even, as due to the heavy nature of our guilds GvG activity, having 1 barracks and 1 or 2 rogue dens, was not enough for my needs, at one point, one of my opponents hit me with a idea, that actually made a lot of sense ... which was the pricing of Traz levels, and the logicale that a level 1-60/70 Traz costs cheaper then a lvl 70-100, and lets not even mention levels above 100, and that when it comes to a quick refill of units, since I have FP pouring out of my butt due to sniping, that it's more efficient to delete my Traz, mass level it to 60-70, then delete it again, mass level it again, and to do that 2-3 times quickly, to refill with units, ofc i decided not to do it, but it made a lot of sense at that moment ... but, anyone considering deleting essential GBs from the game, is a fool, as Inno will eventually have to boost GBs with powercreep as well, as otherwise they lose their purpose, and with GBs losing purpose, so do FP which is the main currensy in the game ...

Apart from having so many small buildings that they all won’t get motivated and thus not deliver their benefits, the other question is what do you do with your FPs? With few GBs where do you spend them? Part of the fun of the game is leveling up up your GBs.

Hey Bonfry. Sorry to hear about your loss with your friend, always a shock when someone close isn't there anymore. So im going to delete my Traz. Its at lv 80 at the moment. Also i will take note of what i produce in my town from other buildings in my town that also give units and current amounts that i have already. Ill do this for 30 days and give you the results at the end of 30 days. So then others can then work off from my numbers. Just to say im not worried about it not working as i can rebuild back to lv 80 in a couple of weeks. Would you be up for this?

Yeah for sure. If you play on browser, load FOE Helper, it will give you all those stats with amazing data, but you have to collect on the browser that has the plugin loaded (vs mobile). You can still play on mobile but collections would be on browser to leverage the stats.

Every special building that produces units will do so in current era UNLESS it says produces RANDOM UNITS such as in the case of the Governers Mansion. Lately Inno has the special buildings show which exact unit that building will produce. When you age those up, you will get current era units that upgrade with you as you grow.

You have talked about GB nerf giving Virgo as en example. This is not the only way Inno can change values of the GBs. Remember limits on requiring quest for Chateau or change in the age goods require to build Galata Tower? We do not know how Inno will make "updates" for GBs next time and that is another good reason to keep the Alcatraz.

Royal bath gives 500 goods to the guild, it's like lvl 50 Obs! These new changes got everybody questioning about Gb status and values, I think inno need to buffed up almost every GBs otherwise ppl start deleting them or won't build it at first place.

I will never delete Traz even though I make double the units from my wonderland buildings. I will never give up the option to make only specific units. Mostly because SAJM units work well at high attrition against Totsn troops

I just stumbled on your channel a few hours ago and wanted to say how much I appreciate the time and thought you have obviously spent on your videos. I am a super casual player who uses FOE as my brain-dead time to wind down at the end of the day, but after watching four of your videos, I'm thinking I'm missing something because a lot of what you're saying went right over my head. If I go back and watch from your first video will that enlighten me? Perhaps you or one of the subscribers here know of another channel for the "Minor League Players" (not MooingCat, while I'm sure he's a great guy, his accent rubs me the wrong way) because you are on a completely different level than me - and probably 95% of the people who play this thing. I noticed in this video that your attack and defense bonuses were in the 3-4 THOUSAND range. I thought I was seeing things and actually went back twice to make sure (I really picked up my laptop and squinted at your defense and attack levels). How is that even possible? I thought I was rolling along with 300! Does anyone have a chance to attack or defend against you? How many people would you say are on the same level as you? How much do you think you spend on FOE every day? I know - Questions Questions Questions, but I am intrigued by your advanced level. I have a pal in Germany who told me that INNO was in some financial trouble a few years ago. I don't know if that has changed, but even in my short time playing I have noticed a lot more money temptations. I have not spent any actual cash on this thing, because to me that takes the game to a level I am not interested in. It kinda sounded in this video that you haven't spent money on FOE either. Is that the case? Can the casual player get to your level without blowing the grocery budget on diamonds? Have you ever thought about an FOE consultation firm? I think that is something I, and many others would be interested in. Anyway, I'm usually not so annoying and I apologize to everyone for rambling, but as I mentioned, seeing your city makes me think this game is actually two games split into two different strata - one that some people are not likely to ever reach, and the one where I'm playing,

Re my older videos I can't say there is a linear way to use my videos. There are many layers to this game which is what makes it so intriguing. It's sort of like a game with and without rules. Have you ever played the board game Puerto Rico? It sort of reminds me of that simplicity combined with a huge complexity of economy and strategy.

I built the Virgo project and was well pissed off when they nerfed it so I got rid of it. 4yrs of play if it wasn't for the new buildings I would probably have looked for another game as it was getting boring and so slow to move up an era. A Dealer has changed on beta 1 million plus coins to use the auction. Do i have another X yrs of game play left in me to get the castle to top lvl I doubt it .

This is the pattern Inno uses for ALL of its game properties. I played Grepolis for years, Inno did the same thing there. You can still play, but you cant win anything WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY! The same thing with Forge. They are powering up the event rewards, so you are being forced to spend money in order to win anything in GBG, or even the new Incursions. Remember, this is about making money. So...Great Buildings will become less attractive, while the even buildings golden levels, ultra-levels or whatever you call them, those will become mandatory if you ever want to win a championship at something. This is Inno'[s strategy for ALL of its free-to-play games, they hook you, then they make you pay to have a chance at competing at the higher levels. Just the way it is.
