melina kapsabelis Well it's never confirmed outright, but given the reason for Maka not trusting men, the major significance of her actually choosing to place her trust in Soul, and the fact that they already live and act like a married couple....I'd say them getting together off panel is a pretty safe bet. Soul is basically the man Maka's mother was looking for, but never found. He's kind, caring, and unwavering in his loyalty. That's why Maka was able to remain partners with him to begin with. He proved that her beliefs about men weren't necessarily true. This isn't a romance manga, so it's not too surprising that the author didn't bother to confirm anything. In this case though I don't think anything NEEDS to be confirmed for the reader to come to a natural conclusion. The incredible connection the two have is pretty clear.
