Honestly, I think one of the most unintuitive things about Shaco is the fact that sweeper doesn't prevent the boxes from going off. Which means you can LITERALLY never clear them if you're not ranged because you'll get hit by the fear of EVERY SINGLE ONE if you try to. And if it's AP shaco that also means losing half your HP in the process.

Because that's not how turrets work. Turrets work on a damage instance basis. When Hecarim damages him, the turret switches aggro to Hecarim until he either dies or leaves turret range/becomes untargetable. It will then immediately find a new valid target if there is one following normal priority rules, and won't switch to a champion again until a NEW damage instance happens.
