The best thing I learned from this video is that dropdrop shipping has limitations, and with having product on hand, it is easier to connect with customers and to be able to market your brand better by being able to add additional trinkets and gifts to your product. Also wait times don’t take as long as it would if you were to do drop shipping.

That's one thing I've run into, as the Print on Demand serves as a way to not have any overhead, they end up becoming the face and representation of your brand regarding the shipping and service, and as mentioned, if you want to add those personalized touches, you are limited in that factor. Makes perfect sense to figure how you can make it work for your self to get that product. I enjoyed the Pre Order start up idea as well. That way, your friends and family are helping to build your foundation and you can scale up from there by purchasing your own product. Great Points. Peace.

The most important thing I got from this video is the answer from the question Selena Spaight asked because this was something I was trying to figure out myself financially not being there I didn’t know if I should stack my bread and wait or start doing preorders. Mannn, oh man. If I would have saw this video a year ago when I first started. This would have saved me a lot of time. I started out using Printful, which is a print on-demand service and fulfillment center. The cost to hold my products, ship my products, and especially for the products I let them produce was a lot in the sense that my profit margins were low. Plus there an extra cost to add the little flyers/stickers/keychains all the little free bees that helps push my brands Narrative. I’ve been watching you guys for quite a while and I even did the workshop with you all! Btw I’m Everkesia from “ I Am Poetry” brand! ☺️ which was amazingly helpful for me. Thank you guys for that. But yeah back to the drop shipping, I’ve done waayyyy better profit wise just having it on hand and being able to ship it myself. Now I’m actually able to hit up pop-up shops and have those in-person opportunities to expand and reach new audiences.

What stood out to me the most was that you guys said that preorders can take up to 4-6 weeks but if done right you’ll never have to do a preorder again so that’s kind of the reason you guys prefer bulk because you can get orders and ship the product as soon as the next day. I gotta work on that.

Dropshipping has limitations you don’t have control over the quality, customer experience you have to pay extra to pay someone else to ship when you could be takin the lil extra bread. Flexibility but the most important thing about dropshipping to me is missing out the opportunity to give your product to rappers, entertainers etc. So taking on the challenges of shipping your own orders just have so many pros and allows you to really have control over your brand and allow you to do things the way you want your brand to be known for and represented as. ✌🏽Leverage!

My biggest take aways from this video are for 1 that you have to get yourself out there! Go to your customers do pop up shows go to events not only because it’s the best way to increase your brand awareness and because it’s easy to gain a new customer presenting a product to them directly than it is to ask them to go online and by from a brand new brand and also that no matter your circumstances you can’t be afraid to take the risk and get going no matter if your starting with virtual no money you have to make it work with what you have if you’re serious about your brand and if your dedicated to seeing your vision through even small growth is still growth and with consistency that will lead to major success!

Right now we are right at the cusp of building the brand still and having unstoppable momentum. We have about 6K followers and been using FB/IG ads and influencers. The 100 t shirts will help us follow another strategy that you all talked about in one of your videos the “High/Low” strategy. We could price point those T shirts low and possibly build our mailing list because if I’m correct two successful young men said a mailing list is more important than followers! This would be a great way to start our ‘23 year off strong and get ahead of that momentum! 🤞🏽🤝

Experience is what will get your brand to elevate or downgrade consistently. Leaving a customer with a experience they felt good about will bring them back over and over again ( Speed and quality ) is a major key and having your product in hand is the fastest way to get market because once it leaves your hand to the customers then they will market your brand by wearing it.

I tried this option first and failed for these exact reasons. If you don’t have products available in person it does make it a lot harder. Trying to get people to your site isn’t the hard part but trying to make a sale in person through online is the hard part. I’m now starting over with products on hand and once I have my products finished I pray I can have a better story.

Key take away from this video was having that connection with your product, seeing it for yourself and giving it that “TLC” for your customer. You don’t want to start a business doing drop shopping because imagine getting lucky and having tons of orders for your first drop, now the customers have to wait a certain time period to receive it. That can cause many concerns and complaints to where they won’t return and even turn away the next customer by “word of mouth” with the negative review.
