Yeah, if you go through junction its deathclaw central, if you go up past red rock its radscorps, then cazadors, then Vipers with WAY better stuff than you, then straight into Fiend homeland.

I run around to the back of the junction, take care of the death claws on the road that leads pst vault 19, and then to new Vegas to rob every casino, buy myself every implant. And then I start making my build. I’ll get to goodsprings eventually

If you hug the ridges and use the Courier's Stash weapons, you actually can make it through, with some work. I recommend trying, if you play an unarmed fighter, because this also puts you right on Bonnie Springs, letting you get the Love and Hate knuckles Easy? No. Worth it? Certainly.

Nah cuz you can cripple the wings on the cazadores making them MUCH slower and easier to outrun, you cant do that with 20 deathclaws down your neck. You can sneak around the deathclaws a lil easier, but if you fuck up against the cazadores theres a lot less targets for you to worry about and you can make them way slower WAY easier.

I killed two deathclaws with the grenade launcher and while avoiding the other deathclaws on the road I discovered an NCR safehouse, then just went straight to the big NCR base they have near Vegas. Now that I think about it there was a way of getting past those two deathclaws, but exp is exp.

There is a third option go through the supermutant infested mountain (at night sneaking) pick the ncr uniform reach the ncr camp and take the monorail (while wearing the ncr uniform) and voila you are in vegas at lvl 2/4

If you hug the western ridges of Black Mountain north of Sloan and use *1* and only *1* stealth boy at the very end of the ridges at the point you cant see a building, and then run towards the building and keep running, you can make it. It IS easier to skip the stealth boy and run for the big ass electric wire tower, but runs a higher risk of getting spotted by the deathclaws. It takes time and patience, and requires mastery of the ridges, timing, and crouching, but in the end, having this knowledge is very rewarding.

Somehow was able to get the death claws to fight the mutants and I made it to the train station on the other side of quarry junction where I saved the game and then cried

Thanks to the GOTY edition I was able to use that path. A Grenade Rifle, safe distance and aiming for the legs made killing Cazadors like shooting fish in a barrel

If you have the DLCs, it’s easier to just head north from the gas station where Ringo is hiding out, crouch up on the edge of the cliff and use the mercenary grenade launcher on some cazadors that are buzzing around the old tribal camp. From there you can loot some fire axes from 2 of the dead fiends there and then head down the little passage way. Now you have a safe way to vegas, the only enemies on the way are 2 fire geckos which are easy to deal with, because you can loot 2 fire axes from some dead fiends. And there are more Fiends around the city area, but they are easy to kill or sneak around if you choose to go at night. (But if you’re looking for some juicy action, there’s a gang of Vipers nearby. I deal with them quickly by luring out the grenade launcher guy with a big horner, killing him and stealing his ammo, and then I bomb the town with my grenade launcher)

I felt like I cheated the game (honestly wouldn't be my first time taking shortcuts) so I decided, for the first time ever, to take the entire intended route. Did not disappoint. The writers did an incredible job pacing this RPG. Bethesda would take notes if Emil wasn't in charge.

Sloan, to Hidden Valley, past the crater with the dead brotherhood and Moe, meet Nail, run past super mutants to the dead NCR soldier on the road up to Black Mountain. Pass the bear traps (watch for rocks) and pass the NCR Ranger safe house. Drops you off literally right in front of Repconn and from there straight to Camp McCarran. No deathclaws, no cazadors, no hassle

I take the direct route every time. The bugs aren't a problem if you get the stealthboy and the knife you can dig up is decent. You can also get the nurses to kill a bunch of fiends and sell their loot to afford early implants.

The rout is doable, but you need explosives, MG 9mm and some rifle to snip and mutilate cazadores... and save a lot. Then in Bonnie Spring is where the fun start.

If you go to sloan, head to Neil's Shack and carefully through Black Mountain, dodging the first SuperMutant, from there go to the place in the mountain where that Indiana Jones ahh boulder appears, and then you are free to go.

Does anyone realise you can make the miners near the quarry distract the deathclaws for a bit. Once they go after you you're already pretty far and the miners already got some damage done. You just need plenty of explosives. Missiles. Plenty of amo. Stimpaks and drs bags.

OKAY. Listen up. You hit Nelson. Look to your right. There is a pass going towards Hidden Valley. Walk along rock wall on your left to you hit black mountain. Run through Niel's shack and you'll find yourself atop a ridge. Run to end of ridge and towards the booby trapped hill. Once you're at the top of said hill.
