This is a great video blog. You nailed it all. Just allow me to add a few points. 1) Sauna: it is not only a matter of culture that undewears/swimming suits are not allowed inside the sauna but a matter of hygiene. Underwears/swimming suits could carry bacteria and/or fungus that can contaminate the benches and get transferred to others. Confidentiality: the laws on confidentiality is strictly observed in Finland. Doctors can go to jail, let alone the nurses if they break it. 3) Punctuality: self-explanatory. There is no Filipino time here. 4) Tickets in the bus or train: the conductor can bump you anytime any where. It is cruel but there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. They will not waste a minute of their precious time arguing or explaining things with you. Keep up the good work.

Wow! I hope you have found a good home in Finland! Even if people don't say it, we do appreciate. To everyone a big disclaimer: Finnish people might get annoyed if people are too loud. We understand cultural difference, and people don't say anything, because it might be rude, but people tend to get annoyed by loud people.

It is not that you take a roll of tissue, that is relevant. What matters is that if you are not honest, trustworthy, then no business will want to risk having you in their workforce. If you need something, tell your employer or supervisor and ask for help or permission to take something. People and businesses can be more understanding and help that ready to accept dishonesty.

Minimum speeding ticket is 200€, your friend must have done some minor traffic violation to get a 80€ fine. The fine is progressive with your income so for the same over speed an unemployed person might get a fine of 200€ while an millionaire would face thousands.

Work contacts and laws about employment include requirement to be loyal to your employer and not take action to harm your employer's business. There is also the possibility of illegally sharing company's trade secrets, if you don't think what you share.
@ireneto2 жыл бұрын
That's true. From what I've seen, no one has ever done that yet and no one should ever do that. In my video, I was referring to sharing in social media about conflicts with workmates.
@just42tube2 жыл бұрын
@@ireneto Making personal conflicts public doesn't make resolving them easier, unless you plan to go to court, where it becomes public anyway. People who give the impression on social media that they get into conflicts and don't seem to able to resolve them without publicity are likely to be seen having problematic personality and perhaps best to avoid. But of course perceptions and society is always changing and even attention seekers become something less negative. They can also have positive qualities even useful ones.
@ireneto2 жыл бұрын
Agree. Conflicts can be resolved by talking with that person not just by posting something. People deal with their problems like conflicts at work in different ways. Unfortunately some tend to share their feelings in social media which I completely understand if that would lessen the burden on their chests. However, posting in social media and "playing victim" is the problem.

You can bring a drink and food into bus with you, because people need to do that to get to home or somewhere. But it is not allowed to eat it or drink. That is because the bus can jump or speed and everything might spread around and stain the seats, for example. People might trash the bus.

I am ex-pat Finn living and working in Australia and the rules are the same here. Break the rules and you can get fired from your job, sometimes they may give you second chance depends on your manager and how serious the offence was. If you commit fraud you can end up in jail and be deported unless you are Australian citizen. Never cheat the tax office this is a federal crime and you can do time in jail. They also have speed cameras, red light cameras, number plate recognition software - if your car is unregistered they will fine you hundreds of dollars. All the malls have CCTV security and they will track you down - the courts are very busy here. Lots of criminal activity.

Do not gossip OR speak in other languages than Finland/English. Finns may not say anything, but it is considered very rude to speak in a way not everyone around you can understand. Also filming is okay at public places, not at work. Never without permission! This is both rude and can break the law.

Sis mag content ka ng cheating or adultery in Finland. May mga rules or law ba ng cheating is bawal?
@global10078 ай бұрын
There is no rule for that. You can get divorced without a reason by the court. But by cultural norms, having more than a partner and not being loyal to them is very prohibited, people do not accept it. But it Is not a crime anymore.
