Liam try not to be so hard on yourself about the dent and scratches on your car, it's still your baby! Don't make the mistake of treating it less than it deserves. Buff out the dent, tame down the scratchers, consider putting clear wrap or raptor on it and it will be back to its new self again! Going down the track less traveled always is a bumpy ride but leaves you with memories that you simply can't buy. Your journey is never wasted it is experienced!!!

If you continue to bush bash, I think Liam should invest on a PPF, like the Bush Wrapz. Since his Patrol is a single cab, it shouldn't be too expensive, and will help save paint of his rig for far longer. Great exploring boys. 👍👍

Liam I feel you mate. It's really hard to get to the point of having some real 4x4 pride and then see it scratched or dinted. You're allowed to be annoyed. And all the "but that's what it's made for" doesn't matter.

If you can leave a pin or something for the head of the trail that went to private property, you can share it so others dont make the same trip. My outing with my club today we came across a few private property barriers, and ive done this. Marked em and will be recording it for later reference. Its the benefit we have now of a very technological society. Liam, that frustration and anger will fall to the side. The paint can be fixed, again, the dints pulled out. But the memories youre having the chance to make are all worth it. And i am a little envious of the trip you boys have just had, thankyou for sharing it with us.

Another great episode gents. I can totally relate to Liam. My 80 Series still has its original paint and nowhere near as pristine as Liam's (nor anywhere near as bad as Patrick's), but I still don't like it when I'm exploring and end up on tracks that gets overgrown half-way through. I still cringe badly when I hear twigs and/or small branches brushing against my 80. Bushwrapz is the go. Plus if you continue to bush-bash, you should invest in a machete. Thanks for sharing the experience. 👍

I love my battered body panels. Each dent is a memory. Ultimately you must decide, are you a parking lot warrier or an offroad adventurer? GQ's are not meant to stay on sealed roads, hell sometimes you need to use the winch just to get them back on the unsealed roads (was teaching my nephew to drive offroad, got one new dent out of that experience).

The Man River is such an awesome spot, I went threw there last year did a pretty similar trip to you guys from Vic to Qld and back hitting up all the similar spots, I find it really funny and weird nsw and qld are so coastal focused there inland mountains, forest and rivers are amazing the great dividing range 👌🏻 You did such a good job on your GQ Liam should be very proud just needs some lockers now and some internal air bead locks and it will be unstoppable, Scratches and Dints are badges of honour, funny stories and great memories in years to come which is priceless, Nothing better than seeing a well used 4wd and hearing the trips and stories to go with it
@task828 ай бұрын
I reckon if I were to respray a 4wd, I would raptor liner and thin it out. Thinned versions look so good and are really durable. Liam's white Patrol would look mint, best part is those little bush strips wouldn't cause any issue at all. Happy camping and safe travels guys 🥳🥳

I certainly understand Liam's complaint. The odd battle scar from a tough track is one thing, but the constant pin stripes from trying to push through overgrown tracks (especially if you don't know where they end) gets very tired very fast. A PPF wrap goes a long way to alleviating some of the frustration. Just be thankful you don't have a shiny metallic paint job like me that shows up every single tiny scratch 😅

Build a grocery getter if you are worried about scratching your freshly built 4wd, ive built a fair few tough cars and 4wds, decide what you plan on doing with them first and build it accordingly. Scratches and dents are pretty much inevitable when doing remote country 4 wheel driving. I get its annoying but in turn you get what you pay for. As much as raptor coat is shit, a real thin coat can still look good and prevent scratches. And that’s coming from someone that does not like raptor coat haha, never the less awesome video as always.

Wikicamps is good for mainstream camp sites. But I have 10+ rediculously gorgeous spots next to creeks/rivers/beaches/cliffs that id NEVER put on wikicamps. 90% are secrets spots only known by the small town locals. Theyre not shared because people come in the hundreds from suburbia for a big bender and leave cans, rubbish, sh*t and drug paraphernalia everywhere, they then piss off and leave it for us country locals to clean up. The best camp spots in this country are kept secret for a reason.

Shaun. Not by convicts. The Carved Tunnel The Old Grafton Road was constructed using civilian labour during the 1800s. One highlight is the short tunnel carved out of the rock a few kilometres east of Dalmorton. Scrawled upon its ceiling is graffiti dating from the 1880s - written in black paint, each figure finished with a curl so typical of the era.
