Good ol' Dave is one those gamers that has a natural ability at games. He seems to make stuff look so easy when really, it's very hard to do. Especially the trolled levels. I don't know how he does it. A ton of practice, I guess?

@@lamarrotems In general, getting it means checkpoints save it, which means that when you get the last red coin, you are immediately at risk of key death. SMM2, just like SMM1, is dumb in that it only saves red coins when you haven't gotten them all, but as soon as you get the key, the save resets. In this level, I don't know why it was bad to get the safety coin. Maybe there was some contraption that didn't let you wim if you got the safety coin? People these days can do crazy shenanigans that change levels depending on how many red coins you got...

@@lamarrotems If you get all the red coins and die, you lose all your progress and basically have to restart. This is called a key death. The safety coin is there so you won't have all the red coins until you are safe enough to go through the key door and won't key die. Getting the safety coin before having the rest of the red coins negates this precaution, so you will most likely key die

Awesome level. I remember running into this in the wild several months ago. (May have even found it in uncleared??) I ground it down to a solid no-death world record too, but looks like either someone stole it from me or it got reuploaded when a bug was discovered. To avoid dying, I forget exactly what you have to do, but I think when you get out of the door at the 3:45 mark, you hold left. That prevents you from falling into the pit without being able to take damage to be small. Then the spiny shell shows up allowing you to take damage and beat the level as otherwise demonstrated.

Some Leather Jackets, you can just wipe them down with vinegar/water mixture, and you're good to go. I have a hat that's actually water proof, and can even swim in it if I so choose. But for the most part, most of the fancy stuff would need a visit to the dry-cleaner.

Mario Maker only likes to save when you collect a pink/red coin, not when you collect all coins and the resultant key. This means that a "keydeath" is imminent because if you die, the game treats it like a soft reset and forces you to start over collecting them.

To answer the leather jacket question...it depends on the jacket. If it is a motorcycle jacket...you just let it go and water is fine. If it is soft leather, dry clean only.
