Unplugging stuff... yes!!!! My sister was house sitting for my grandparents while they were on vacation. My grandpa has all kinds of electrical stuff and what he called his “toys” (sound speakers, surround sound, his amps, etc) and while they were all plugged into like the best surge protector they could buy (my grandparents were frugal but not cheap), lightening hit right next to their house and fried a lot of their stuff. My sister felt awful because she was watching the house. So it truly does happen

A couple of weeks before, I make sure I have enough of all daily meds. Then I create daily batches & bag them in small zip-bags, ~1.5"x2.5". (When I was taking them in two sets/day, I marked the bags a.m. & p.m.) I put all the little bags in a bigger one. So easy to grab one before breakfast or at bedtime!

All great tips. We always carry protein bars and little snacks for the plane and when we go ashore supplemented with a few small boxes of cereal (Froot Loops 😀) from the breakfast buffet. I always take pics of our luggage in case it gets gets lost but never thought to do credit cards and passports. I also never thought to shut off the water. Definitely gonna do all that in 27 days when we leave. Thx!

I try on my clothing, shoes, i have a list ,start packing 3weeks before. Dont forget Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, luggage scale. Your empty water bottle, umbrella for shade or rain shower. Put some clothes of My husband in Mine and mine in His. And some clothes in our carryons. Do you recommend NCL? Also, Passports, Valid ID. Happy Cruiseing

Love your videos. For us i have a try on 3 wks before the cruise. We try our clothes to ensure everything fits and there are no rips . Same for shoes, if you got new ones walk around in them. I too have list of everything in the suitcase. And that goes in inside and a copy for us. Inside suitcase name, email, phone #. Buying new suitcase get the one with double zipper. Single xippers ones ,they can use a pen,screwdriver to break your zipper,steal your items close it back up. Looks normal until your open it. Your things are gone.

I almost didn't recognize you Frank in that plain shirt. :-) I too have lists on top of lists (but I never forget anything either). Excellent idea on letting your financial institution know your travel for your credit/debit cards. I was a bank manager and I can't tell you how many peoples card would be denied because the bank thought it was potential fraud and were trying to protect them. Just let them know your dates of travel and where you are going/traveling through to avoid any issues.

Good checklist! If we don't have a house sitter available then I always turn off the main water shut-off valve too! I've had too many bad experiences with it when I didn't and don't want to deal with that again!

I'm gonna try to put the babies in more videos. I've been waiting for someone to ask about my ring. When I got sick in 2010, I gained 100 lbs, up to weighing 300 lbs. By the time we started our You Tube channel in 2017...I lost a 100 lbs.....back down to 200. My ring was too big for me, on any finger. This was an older video. I've since had my ring adjusted and now can wear it.

I have been researching the different styles & the only thing I don't like about the tile is it doesn't have a replaceable battery & you need to send it in (plus replacement cost). however, the other styles/companies out there seem to have more issues than Tile does. What is your thoughts? My first cruise is Jan 20, 2018 Carnival Sunshine & we don't have a second one booked yet (YET! Ha! only a matter of time) but we are looking on doing a large group cruise in a couple of years for my younger brothers 50th birthday! Would the Tiles be worth the investment?

My husband & I are going on our 1st cruise this November, I believe we cannot take an iron on Explorer of the Seas, do they provide an iron on request or do we have to send clothing to laundry for ironing only (clothes are clean) as we hate walking around in creased clothing. Sorry for long text. ❤

You can request the use / loan of an iron & ironing board from your cabin steward, to do your own ironing OR...you can send it out at a cost $$.

We have been to Honduras. Both times we were there we couldn't find any wheelchair accessible excursions through the cruise lines. I know there is a Monkey Sanctuary somewhere that is accessible and an Iguana & Marina Park as well. Those are the only two accessible things I know of to do. Not sure of the costs and you will probably have to arrange private transportation. There are two places that ships dock in Honduras. We have only been to Roatan and both the above places are nearby in Roatan. However, we just shopped and made it a beach day both times we visited. The curvy path is long and step to get to the shopping area so bring your stamina.

Hey Tim.....although we have never been to Alaska, we are planning to go in June of 2018. I have reached out to some of our subscribers and trusted travel friends and here are a few suggestions for you. Juno - Tracey's King Crab Shack is the #1 restaurant in Alaska & should not be missed. Ketchikan - They have a Lumber Jack Show, that is great & we plan on going. Skagway - White Pass Railway is a must when visiting Alaska & very often excursions on the White Pass will also include the Klondike Gold Fields & panning for gold. Hope this is a good start for you.

The backpack is Kevin's choice as his personal bag when we travel. My choice is a shoulder tote. His backpack is very convenient because it's strapped onto his back, which allows his hands to be free to push my wheelchair and assist me. He brings it when we go into port to carry our daily essentials, but when we're on the ship.....he has a smaller " man-bag " with him. Do you HAVE TO have a passport? Can't you use your birth certificate and driver license?

Depending on where you are traveling to...is whether you need a passport. Check with your travel agent / cruise line. However, we HIGHLY suggest getting a passport as it is the ULTIMATE ID and then you don't have to bother bringing your original birth certificate.

You can not bring an iron with you on board any cruise line. They will confiscate it. Ask your cabin steward if you need one.

We get the little liquid cups and pack them in our checked bags. If your doing just carry ons then get the powdered.

We take a full amenities list with us on every cruise. It depends what was included with that booking. So if you log into your online cruise planner for whatever line you are sailing on, you can usually print out the amenities that you get!!!
