I was in the military from age 18 to age 33, shaved everyday of my life for almost 15 years. Well I just got out in mid February 2020, and I'm 1 month into my first beard ever! It's slow moving, but I'm looking forward to what's to come. Hopefully it grows well, it'd be nice to see a different face in the mirror. I just need the encouragement to keep growing! Love the channel!

Iv started my beard growing the day my company told us to work from home! 2 weeks in...I feel I’m past the hardest part and now I’m just enjoying the process of seeing it get fuller and fuller. Kind of exciting as Iv NEVER tried to grow out my beard because I never wanted to go into work “looking” like I just got up out of bed.

My side burns, mustache and goatee grow a lot quicker than my cheeks leaving like an extended mustache that goes all the way down into the bulk of my beard. I’m getting new growth all the time so it’s hard to keep everything even. Thinking of just letting it go for a few months. Good advice on using the guard.

I don’t understand the need for beard oil when your guys utility balm is more versatile and does more for the beard/face/hair/skin then the oil does? Maybe it’s a preference or texture thing but I find it pointless when you offer the utility balm and all its glory.. With your gold line utility balms...I actually FIND excuses to put it on myself all throughout the day, even when I don’t need it, just because the scents of these is so tremendous..I would assume it’s similar to being a heroin addict who needs another fix/high...

Id like to see examples of cutting too high underneath and the difference in looks with a fuller beard. He says 1 finger above the apple, I think I went higher because I just didnt want all that hair on my neck . Im at 5-6 months now and Im not sure where to go from here. Never really having had a beard before Im kinda not sure what its supposed to look like haha My stache is driving me crazy always in my damn mouth but Im scared to cut it uneven and its hard to distinguish like which hairs belong to the stache and which belong to the sides and the beard lol Should I be trying to get all the hairs to meet at the ends of both the stache and at the bottom of the beard?
@johndoegta21894 жыл бұрын
@@hapaulino Thanks bro. I used 2 fingers also on the neck. I brush all the hairs up away from the neck then on the outside brush straight down again. This gives me like a reverse crown appearance all the way around at the bottom. idk hard to explain haha idk what i am doing. Is that normal/acceptable or should the bottom be full going all the way to the neck line by like only brushing everything down?

Love their videos, but these guys add glycerin to their beard oil for some reason, and the stuff just doesn't work well (for my beard, at least).
@BeardbrandAlliance4 жыл бұрын
Glycerin is part of the grapefruit seed extract. It’s a better anti-microbial than vitamin e in our lab tests. It’s used in such a small percentage you’d be a superhero to tell the difference. In addition to that, glycerin is a great skin care ingredient so I’m not sure why one would be against it. Also, we have a happiness guarantee with our products. Didn’t find any orders under your KZbin user name. Hit up support@beardbrand.com with your order number and we’ll make you right.

Hey Eric, I have a relatively short beard I’m on the 3 month mark and it’s about an Inch in length and it’s very kinky and curly, I used a straightening brush and your hairdryer method and the hair always ends up curling upwards and it doesn’t look the best , would you have any ideas or advice for this situation?
@themrrd123454 жыл бұрын
My beard is similar. Not sure if as much as yours but I've just let it be and keep growing. After a while, it will have enough length where the blow dryer and round brush method work

Why are you supposed to trim down with a beard trimmer? I’ve always trimmed against the grain with guards cuz i thought that’s what keeps everything even (I don’t have much beard maintenance knowledge cuz my dad isn’t in my life anymore due to being an asshole). I’ve pretty much taught myself about everything shaving related so if anyone can give me advice on why you trim down that would be appreciated
@BeardbrandAlliance4 жыл бұрын
According to Eric, trimming down takes off less length. At the beginning stages of a beard, it doesn't matter as much. But as you get more length, trimming down helps keep the hair shaped while taking off less. And sorry to hear about your dad. I'm glad you're taking steps to learn this stuff for yourself! There's a wealth of knowledge in this community -- you've come to the right place. -Ben
