Bro I'm so glad that you're making these vids!! For the longest time I wanted to find a channel that has stuff for guy dancers and I could never find one, so keep making vids and I'll keep watching them. They really are a big help to me especially since I am the only guy at my studio.

Great exercise for (double) cabrioles, the beats from 4th. So many young guys have a great jump, but when they go for the beats they just grip inward with to much effort and it comes out as a hold, or a tiny double. The trick is not to close really hard, but to have the relaxation to open between beat one and two. As a young student I was inspired first by Peter Schaufuss' cabrioles in La Bayadere. Then, a little later I saw videos of Tetsuya Kumakawa and was like, "woah!"... But it still took me a long time to figure out the opening between the beats is a point to focus on. Also, I'd say timing. If you are already at the apex of your jump but haven't started beating yet, there's no way to get 2 beats in on the way down without sledgehammering the landing. So as soon as you are leaving the floor, get that first beat started, so you have time to open, and complete the second beat and opening with plenty of time to prepare your landing leg properly. I always teach "1 up, 1 down" where the 1s are the beats and the "up" and the "down" are the open positions: you're open at the top of the jump, and open on the landing in arabesque or devant. N.B.: this is for big doubles for, say, Diana and Acteon, or Don Q coda, or La Bayadere, rather than Swan lake, Sleeping Beauty or Albrecht which should be lighter and more compactly elegant. Keep up the great vids!!

I am not in the dance world, but I have to commend you for your video because it was very interesting to me to share your life of dance and I was impressed with your encouragement of less experienced dancers. Keep up the good work.

Do you dream to dance Spartacus or Krassus role in Spartacus? Have you ever seen this ballet (I mean Grigorovitch version in the Bolshoi Theater)?

Please increase the microphone gain... (volume) very hard to hear most of the dialogue... talking louder would help too. Other then that, excellent and very interesting.
