It is a little-known fact that you can fly in the Classic Sonic games without being Tails. first, look up, then jump twice to make the CPU version of Tails manually fly, then just grab on by jump into his hands! This does not work in Sonic 2. But it does work in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It may also work in Sonic Mania. The controls for Flying Tails in Sonic 3 & Knuckles are pressing up to go up, and press left or right to go in each of the direction respectively, to let go, just press jump. In Sonic Mania, you press jump to go up, and to let go press down the jump, the right and left are the same as Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Hope you enjoyed this overly-long instruction thingie!
