When riding together, cable your bike to your friends bike. Use a cable which is thick enough to be considered a deterrent and make sure its covered to protect from any potential damage. Lastly make sure the lock is not connected at ground level. Keeping your lock off the ground makes it more difficult to open by blunt force impact.

I have a generic cover for my Harley. I sowed a pocket on the front of it where I can use an alarm that clips to the front rotor. If you pull up on the cover it sets the alarm off. I’ve actually set if off by accident at the hotel the next day (forgot about it!) works really well! I also have the factory alarm with the fob. I love the air tag though. When I’m at any hotel I always ask if I can park under the canopy if they have one.

Great list...I think you touched on everything well! My personal opinion is the cover is the best idea. I learned as a little kid from my next door neighbor who was a high end photographer... she would never keep fancy camera bags in her car to draw attention...she would put crazy expensive stuff in used McD's bags and leave her car messy as to play down what she had. Nobody knows how nice a ride you have if it's covered and the first step in avoiding theft is avoiding temptation. Well done.

One thing I do at the gas station is park close to the pump (on the left side) and fill up while on the bike. Side stand on the left leaning the bike towards the pump, so if I have to run inside I just lock the forks and then the bike is basically blocked in and can't be rolled off easily. I wasn't used to high side / police style mounting and dismounting, so it took a minute to practice, but it's much safer when / if you have to pull over on the side of the road.

Mine has a canister of tear gas activated by a mercury switch when disturbed. You can make your own.

These steps are good to follow. Vehicle thieves want the easy target, something they can get in quick and get away with quick. If you or your bike offer resistance to this, they will move on. To thieves, time is very important as the longer they take, the greater chance of being caught. I've seen this many times as a police officer in DC.

First of all…BLESS YOU @ 14:02. LOL 😝 Secondly, Thanks for the tips. I agree with you about not having the logo of your bike on your motorcycle cover and I will look into the apple air tags…good idea. RIDE SAFE QUEENSIT! 👍💪

Locking forks. can be a bad idea. You love the key in the motel room or on the ground somewhere, you ain't going to ride until you call the HD shop to come save your ass. I carry insurance.

@@QueenSit One way is never use a name on your bike cover, it attracts the wrong attention, always underplay your bike, never discuss all the mods you have done to it, less attention the better even at rallies with folks you do not know. if you have a tracker, make sure it is well hidden, thieves have a short window. The harder you make it for them the better. #Teamsit 100% all day with much love and respect
