I just finished watching this now and I feel so empty inside! The actors did such a good job of portraying the emotions of the characters. They had me crying so much. If anyone hasn't watched it yet I 100% recommend you to! I think so far this is the best 2021 Cdrama! ........ Title: Ancient Love Poetry (2021) This is a good drama. It is quite slow paced in the beginning of few episodes, it gets better later on. It is heartbreaking love story, full of sacrifices and love that never ends. And, don’t too quick to judge. The female lead (Zhou Dongyu) is an outstanding actress (you can see many of her work, most of them hits box office). And Xu kai’s acting is equally good. Just the ending is too simple and short, still it’s worth to watch.

Am so thrilled and so happy to watch this film I think 30 times especially the parts or episodes especially the fight scenes of Shang Gu and all of them. I think this film is a masterpiece and from a big film production. Also the Director/s is very good and imaginative, even if it's a fantasy/magical film the elements love, friendship, betrayal and the flashbacks, Wow, awesome. And the characterization like the young and old Shanggu/Houchi and Bai Jue/Boxuan/ Lord Quimu of North the North are distinct from one Character to another. Absolutely artistic and talented Artists and Actors. I love them ALL. The costumes are set designs and camera tricks and effects are perfectly executed. And element of Love Story made this film more lovable and the ending is so exciting and made me fall in love with the film that made me watch it again and again. Thank you very much for such a fantastic and Fabulous film and to ALL the Actors Thank you very much for your excellent acting. Thank you very much.

Agreed, they are technically the "same" but Qingmu didn't have the pressure of the tribulation of chaos on his shoulders so he was more free to express his feelings and just be the couple Shanggu and Baijue never got to be.
