Yetunde, long time! Girl LOUD IT. We have all seen our African brothers and sisters come here and get stuck in a career they do not want to do. Too many are in a place of more opportunities (the West) but for some reason (some of which you have highlighted) the dreams are killed. I feel like if one is not careful the UK can be a place where dreams just become dreams. One has to be super intentional about ensuring they go after their dreams. I have also said this place is a real comfort zone. To the point one can become numb. My Nigerians/Africans who have come please NEVER EVER give up on your dreams.

I completely relate to what you are saying. I big dreams when I moved to Canada but right now it doesn’t seem like I can do those things any more. Among other things, motherhood has also taken its fare share.

This is so timely. Comfort sometimes can be the enemy of growth and it’s so easy to be complacent here. When do we get a meet and greet, you have so much wisdom to share

You are sooooo right! I find myself keep fighting for my dreams and my gifts to manifest. Still work in progress but sometimes I feel like those I left in Naija are way ahead of me career wise etc. I need to constantly remind myself that God has a purpose for my life and didn’t come abroad in vain. So much discouragements here and there; hence the need for daily strength and motivation from scriptures.

Thank you so much for this. The UK can make one very complacent about a lot of things because it comes with this so called comfort especially for some of us who were not very comfortable back home. I believe we can do better

Thank you Ma Yetunde! God bless you for this video. Myself and my wife, as a migrant couple share very similar burdens and we’re not giving up. We’re setting the tone for a vision-driven life for ourselves and many people around us. It’s good to hear this from you. God bless the family!!!
