After 25 years, I've rejoined the world of slot car racing. In the 1990s, I built open class 1/24 scale cars. I do not want to get into building cars again as I became too obsessive. I bought a 1/32 scale NSR car and am having fun, just going around the track. ... Then I saw this video. Just of curiosity, how does the handling of this car compare to an NSR plastic chassis? My guess is that it is like night and day, but I'd like your thought. Also, how hard is it to maintain a car like this. The little NSR requires virtually nothing. All of which leads me to ask\: What would the cost of a little car like this, that is ready to run be? Thanks.

Once you glue the bearing in the chassis HOW DO YOU TAKE THEM OUT ?? I had some glued in and couldn’t get them back out to replace

Does this same tip apply to bushings without bearings? I think I'll try :P

You can use this tip to glue in bushings as long as they are a close fit in the pillow blocks. The advantage of doing this with a bearing is that it doesn’t distort the bearing with heat, a bushing doesn’t normally get distorted by heat.

What brand bearings do you use? NTN, SKF ?? Cost?

I mention the brand in the video. They are GRW bearings. They are about 9GBP each.

what if glue get into the bearing itself where those little balls are.. what you do ? or just make sure it doesnt.

Haha. It is possible to clean out the glue with some Acetone if you clean it before it sets, but it is always best to make sure it doesn’t go into the bearing 😁
