Ok this is informative. I really hadn't played with this much. But as we have considered growing I have wondered how we could do tgis with being fair but not wide open to theft.

Two things, Great to see you doing well Demone, getting healthy, and getting things back on track! second, and maybe I missed this somewhere, what happens if someone in your guild, who has a plot claimed in the middle of your giant guild area, abandons that plot? I know come full release, once the monthly sub is added, your plot control will be tied to an active sub(assuming they have not changed from this proposed model). You can simulate that happening now by a guild member leaving/abandoning their plot. Does that spot become free for anyone else in the world to grab or is there some sort of safety/guardrail system that prevents the guild from losing control of that land?

PVP does not always involve combat. Thanks Demone - excellent coping system, hopefully they will make the permissions and clan role systems more robust. We need multiple levels.

In a general sense, i understand the concept. the only problem I really see is, Mike has a real life accident and is unable to get online. Your entire steel production (and smithing) revolves around Mikes ability to login. If for whatever reason he is unable, the empire collapse in seconds

It is more of a trade-off. You have trouble regardless, with the loss of THE person with the skill to produce.

So Anna makes a chest and sets it to private but you did not explain how Mike also has access ?? How is that possible ?

I did at the very beginning of the video, the owner of the plot has access to all chests on the plot, locked or not

Sorry I must be missing something. I'm alderman of a small clan and all our crafters and chests are on plots I set down and set to clan but I'm always having to tell people to set chests to clan after they create new ones or move older ones to a new location as I don't have access to them.

If it's on your plot you should have override permissions to pull and depo items but not change the perms on the chests themselves. But since you can pull from them you can empty them and replace them. If this is not the case maybe try toggling the plot perms to private and back to clan. Or toggle to private relog then change them back to clan. I know for a fact this works as I've had to do so myself a few times.

NO offense intended here, man.. love the videos.. but Steals your shit, destroys your plot, robs your Steel, locked down chests... Holy hell.. people realize this is a GAME, correct? Some ppl treat it like some Chicago Hood.... Dafauq server you play on so I know NEVER to go there NGL... Sounds terrible We got 30+ people and 50+ plots and EVERYTHING is set to Clan maybe just don't grab randoms and zerg things? Sheesh

Game or RL.. you can still lose hours, days or even weeks worth of your work in a very short period of time. It's not dumb to want to protect this.

We've got a clan of 30 and all work together to improve EVERYONE'S Skills.. and we all benefit from it in the end. it's really not that hard. If you're playing an MMO as someone whose anti-social.. you're doing it wrong

@@rhadiem who said "dumb"?? And there's a difference between protect and lock everything down tight like you're playing with a bunch of 5 yr olds. I'd hate like hell to play with a group where no one trusts each other. That's the exact OPPOSITE of my definition of "fun".. and that's exactly what I'm here for.. downtime.. not to make it seem like another job. Again.. our plot is well over 50+ with 30 members last I counted.. and every one of them is set to Clan with every box set that way as well. A few of us keep PVP gear in a box marked Private.. but that's just so ppl know what box is what. The rest is free to use for leveling... just don't be stupid and greedy and grab mass stacks of stuff that took ppl time to farm up.. or try to act like "you don't know" the time it takes to farm 300 Steel, etc. Can be as simple as talking to each other and asking. We all farm mats for each other. Our cook gets mats from 20 or so of us.. but in turn, she makes the food we dungeon on. At least 10 ppl in guild help me to farm metals.. but they also get free gear from doing it. It's just the nature of the beast in a crafting game.
