In the tests of the TOP of reliable lugs, the POS-63 solder lug will take part. There is a little POM-1 refractory solder - there is a little more copper in it. Lead. From repair aluminum rods. We will make one boss from copper wire by winding and ironing a cable. Let's make a boss from TsAM. Few people know about this alloy. Furniture fittings and much more are made of zinc alloy with an admixture of aluminum and copper - hence the name TsAM. Of course, we rivet a couple of nuts on the cable, and we will also weld it with electric welding or a semiautomatic device. We will observe the load that the bosses will experience using a 500 kg crane scale. And don't make the cable bosses until you watch this video to the end.
For tests, I built the simplest stand with my own hands. The homemade stand consists of a shaped pipe. I made such a pribluda from a plate. We pass the cable through the hole. Tie the other edge on an earring and tighten with a nut. And don't make the cable bosses until you watch this video to the end.
Assembled it looks like this. The scales are hooked to the profile pipe, the cable from the pribluda goes to the earring, the lanyard is used to adjust the length. We will pull the cable through the second earring with a pry bar. Everything is very simple.
A tin lug - showed that the maximum load was 75 kilograms. The cable came out of the boss despite the fact that I was pushing it. The lug from POS 63 withstood a weight of 111 kilograms. The POM - 1 solder lug withstood a load of 110 kilograms. From lead, they managed to fix the maximum effort of 102 kilograms. I charged the TsAM alloy. ... The cable came out of the boss. But it didn’t just come out, some strands of the cable were cut off. Video recording showed that the maximum load was 75 kilograms. The pull-off load of the Chinese rods was 36 kilograms. The copper wire boss performed better than all the 134 kilograms.
An indisputable plus of this method is also that for the manufacture of such a boss, you only need copper wire, solder and a soldering iron. Are you still interested? Then let's charge the most popular. Nuts. As a child, I also repaired the clutch cable of my moped in this way. Charged. Included. They drove. 75 kilograms. And what happened?
The nuts fell off. Why did they fall off? And they fell off because the thread damaged some of the strands of the cable during pressing.
Nuts for repair, the easiest option, but it's difficult to catch the middle ground.
Charged. Included. Go. So much for you. What happened? What happened is similar to the following. The cable could not be damaged by the nut thread, it did not flatten the nut much, but near the welding place the cable was weakened by heating. And it broke off. The maximum load was 35 kilograms.
