I have a 2021 Club Car Onward and want to find best way to increase the torque as I use it for hunting. Not looking for superfast speeds, 20 mph max is fine. I was looking a navitas 600 A controller and replacing my Trojan lead acid batteries with a lithium battery. Cart is a DC so I understand I have to put an AC motor in. Recommendations on Lithium Battery? Any other comments on what I am thinking about doing?

@mikerogero49 That's awesome! Yes, the AC Conversion Kit for the onward will give you max torque. Navitas is excellent. If you're looking to save about $400, the Teekon is also excellent for the onward. For lithium, the absolute best for you would be Bolt Energy since they have most power (250a continuous output). Eco would be a close second, as they engineered their battery to work perfectly w/ the Navitas. Even though we have many other lithium options, those are the only two I'd recommend comfortably with Navitas 600a.

I have a'93 Club Car, 36v that I want to upgrade to lithium. It has a bed/xtra seat in the back. I'm looking for the best advice for this cart upgrade. Thanks. Tim

Since you have a bed/xtra seat in the back, it sounds like you would need to make sure your lithium battery has enough power. In that case, we would strongly recommend the Eco 36v 105ah option. It has most power on the market, and just dropped its price yesterday. I would avoid the Amazon 36v options; all of them have lower power capacity and all have more difficult installation kits

@@arkbama6 Apologies for the delay. For a 36v EZGO '89, I would go either Eco Battery's 36v 105ah (if you need power or are in a hilly area, or want to maximize your range) or Allied's 36v drop-in kits (2 x 36ah = 72ah) if you want to save a little and don't need Eco's benefits. Both of those are easy DIY. I would Roypow's 36v, Patriot's 36v, or any of the 'amazon' brands.

@@extremekartzhelp me translate that last sentence. Are you saying stay away from those brands? Frankly the Amazon brands are considerably cheaper. But I sure don’t want to get something under powered. Thanks for all advice!

I admit the lower price point is definitely attractive. But it's hard in good conscious to recommend them. Here's why: - non US-owned, which from our experience, creates issues post-order and is questionable of if the company will still be here 3+ years down the road. - they often have plastic casing which is a no-no safety wise for golf carts - you mentioned under powered. That is common amongst them as well. Make sure whatever you go with has a continuous amperage discharge of 150a or more and peak discharge >250. I saw a post this week of a guy that has a 36v' older EZGO, bought the amazon brands, and had major issues. If you email Martin (that's me) at [e-mail] , I can send you the screenshot of their post.

I’m looking at a 6 seater that has a 36v lithium. Is that gunna have enough power to drive with 6 people ?

For a 6 seater, the normal 36v 105ah likely will not cut it. Since they don't make a single battery solution higher than that, you'll need to buy multiple batteries to hook them up in parallel. You could either buy two Eco 36v 105ah. Or, if you don't need that much range, getting 4 36ah Allied drop-ins would give you 144ah of range and enough power.
