Thanks, really useful. I found a strange fix for stuttering. On my PC changing the virtual memory pagefile to an SSD speed drive (or above) set to windows managed fixed all my stuttering isses. I'd had set mine to an old HDD. Worth a try for those having performance problems.

2:19 You get Scorching 1 during The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom, when Deek asks you to use the loom to enchant an item of clothing with a trait, that one shows up so no matter what you can have one trait to enchant.

​@@ArktixOfficial how do i stop the game from giving me empty chests? ive have normal chests, trait chests, golden chests and eyball give me no loot and im getting worried now, thats 57 chests in total some of which are story chests that have given me 0 reward some of them were arithmacy chests too and no my inventory has space and ive reloaded and restarted and check points and everything. and the hogwarts legacy official socials havent responded to me. i havent even unlocked any wand handles, which the gobstone mission was supposed to give, and the eyball chests are meant to give 500 gold and sometimes i get nothing. can you guys help me please. or at least help me make the devs fix it in a patch by bringing it to all there socials, coz theres litrally no point playing the game if the game decides if i get rewarded at all for hours of effort...

This will be long but I would not recommend doing the reload saves for chests in dungeons during an active quest. The first dungeon we go into which leads us to the mirrors for Merlin, I passed all the chests to finish the quest. Saved my game(thank god) and went back in to go start the reloads on each chest that I skipped. I got to one chest that was behind spiderwebs, burned them away, looted and reloaded. This is where the game breaking glitch happened. Upon reload, no chests were around, all enemies were gone, those floating platforms you NEED to pull to you were gone. Preventing any further progress. Areas were your character would crouch to go under or swim, you just walked through or sank to the bottom and continued to run. Reloading did nothing and the entire dungeon stays glitched. If I didn't happen to complete the quest prior and have that save to go to, I would not be able to progress that main story and would have to delete my save and start the game all over. Returning to that dungeon after continuing on with the game for some time, still has the entire place glitched. Sorry for the wall of text, just my PSA to those who read this.

This happened to me as well, but closing the game completely (not just reloading a save) fixes it.

This was just a strange glitch, there is no real risk in following the advice to reloade in the video. Reload saves for chests works flawless for me since weeks, and you can always restart the game and go back to a former save even if the one you made for the chest would break. (Cant see way it should if you just reloader.)

I was annoyed with trolls... Then I realized you can block their ranged Boulder attack, throw it back at them, and stun them. While stunned, they take significantly more damage. You can basically perma stun and kill super easy.

Not sure where you’re seeing yourself loosing points. Upgrades never cause an item to lose points. Upgrading simply increases the secondary stat.

I mean my defense and offense stats. Right now I’m at 288 and 323. I want to level up but if it adds to defense it subtracts from offense and vise versa. I guess I don’t understand those values. I see people with 400 on both after completing so I’m assuming they balance out or I am doing something wrong.

Hello hello, thank you for the video! One question: Is a "significant" boost in damage always 15% as shown for that one spell in the video or does it differ from gem to gem? If it does not differ, wouldn't the "Concentration III" gem that boosts all damage spells significantly beat every gem that does only boost one spells damage?

You're very welcome! And good question. We're currently testing this and I will add results to the spreadsheet soon. Many do appear to be 15%, but not all. Concentration III does not appear to be 15%, which makes sense. Currently I'm running 3x Laceration II and 3x Concentration III on my regular build.

Good question! The AM trait specifically boosts the L1+R1 special. There’s another trait trait called AM Focus that boosts AM throws (R1 on objects), which includes when you throw a disarmed object after using Expelliarmus.

FYI, the reason gear has different stats is because the gear itself has a level. The gloves you showed as an example were level 17 and 18. Generally higher level gear is going to have higher stats, even if its a lower rarity.

Yes! The trait slots will show the max level trait they can take. Blue will take level I, purple takes I and II, and gold will take I, II, or III. No need to upgrade them for traits.

The issue I'm having and one thing I'm not liking is I'll have a set of legendary gear on and I won't find any new items that will increase all of the higher-level items go down in value. Level 27 scarf gives 87 defense Level 32 scarf give 60 defense

Yeah the fact that gear stats are tied to your level when looting is pretty strange. Sides odd situations like your describing. As you get close to max level it stats to be less of an issue though.

God question. So you can upgrade blue, purple, and gold gear 3 times, but it doesn’t increase the level of the gear. It does increase the stats though, which is of course what matters. However, a price of gear’s level depends on your character’s level when you loot it and higher level gear starts with better stats, which is why I recommend saving a few of the Legendary chests for later on.

Unfortunately no. It’s level and base stats are always locked at whatever they are when you found it. It’s not a very big deal though because you’ll find lots more legendary items, and you can buy them from the shop in Hogsmeade when you’re max level too

No it’s a bit confusing going from multipliers to percentages. Think about it this way: what % would a 1x multiplier be? That would be 0%. A 2x multiplier is a 100% increase. 3x is 200% and so on.

While most spell traits only effect one spell, some traits like unforgivable curses, or herbology affect multiple spells or options. I found in my play thru that herbology was absolutely the most powerful stacking talents and traits. Using multiple vegetables that are doing insane amounts of damage, while you stand around in rock form and drink thunder potions. Towards the end I was using only control spells and nearly all my damage came from plants, potions and ancient power. It was the hufflepuff way.

@@mrbeef_7090 when did the hufflepuff way equal muggle? You can literally have 9 plants deployed at once, two spitters, 6 cabbages and a mandrake. The arena challenges become a walk in the park. All you got to do is pull the far away ranged bads and levitate them over your killer salad. Armored trolls, big pensive guardians, named villians, none can resist the cabbage horde.

FYI Traits stack, so u can roll with 6 ancient magic Traits and deal over 50k, if u have the right talents too u can farm it up super easy and it gets almost as broken as Dark Magic. Good for clean morale gameplays or general fun.

My addition would be that I dont think Ancient Power traits are worth it. Maybe early on ? But... id still say no. A lot of the enemies that you face are not really tough to kill, so... its like going to hunt rabbit with a cannon. Overkill. I am curious at how good Concentration is in truth. If not then... Laceration the next best thing to stack ? Or maybe a mix of things. Put 2x into the top 3 damaging spells that you use ?

Ah ok so if you have been using slot 1 and then save to slot 2 the new save will include all progress up to that point. The reason you have multiple slots is so you can potentially go back if you made a choice to didn’t like or want to go back to see/do something over again.

How much damage adds concentration 3 trait? Is it better to get general increase for all damage spells or specialize into one spell or ancient magic?

Pretty much the same %age, slightly less but all spells so in rotation its way more dps

@@ForumcoldiArchon Just finished main quest and with all legendary, fully upgraded gear with concentration 3, it gets a bit ridiculous. Now I can one-shot goblins even with disarming spell, incendio burns everything next to me, transformation + throw kills everything but trolls (even without the curse cheese). Spoiler: Last fight with dragon was also a bit mad - at each phase I didn't even have to finish full combo of disarm, freeze, slice spells to trigger next phase.

Hey thanks! Glad you're enjoying my content 😄 I actually wouldn't really recommend doing the reload trick for cosmetics. You certainly can, but there's an awful lot of cosmetics and you're probably going to be doing it for a while to get the one you want. I think it will be more fun to just play and loot all the chests you find along the way. You'll probably get it fairly quickly that way. You could also check Gladrags shop in Hogsmeade as he might be selling it. Skip time 4-5 times to force his inventory to refresh 👍

I have a question. I noticed that every KZbinr has the same gears on. They are all legendary and they are all the same. I guess that they are with the highest stats. But I have a question, how many of these legendary clothes are there? Are there as many as, for example, blue or is there, for example, one for each part of the clothes. E.g. one legendary cap, one legendary pair if gloves, etc. If there are as many as blue ones, how do I know that these are the best and these are the ones I should upgrade?

I stumbled on the one that increases damage from the ancient magic throw, and paired it with the expelliarmus upgrade to hit people with their own weapons. Also upgraded with ancient magic 3 and everything that boosts the gain. Much more consistent damage, and basically one and two shotting every enemy...but I never practiced my parrying in Dark Souls 😐

Thanks that's helpful. On my 2nd playthrough I decided to hunt for concentration 3 at the very beginning of the game. And your know what? It was in the very last chest I looted. Is that just my luck or is it set up that way...? 😅

ive looted 3 ornate chests that have given me nothing so i get my save is just screwed now, and im gona be 3 traits short permanatly now.......... who the hell designed this system its worse that gatcha loot boxes coz at least you get something. im now having to assume every chest i open has a 50% chance of giving me nothing for my efforts. and its actually more than 50%. since i hit level 11 6/10 chests i open (ANY CHEST) will have nothing inside not even gold

Do people really save state and farm to stack level 3 traits? I spent 30 minutes on the switch and I couldn't get concentration 3 so I just stopped trying.

Save 6 Legendary chests and write down their locations for end game items.

Reason why you get more at high level makes sense because the drops are random but from a pool of new gems. If tier 3 is super low chance, toward the end you'll get it more and more often.

Hold onto Legendaries and upgrade them, I think max offense and defense is 400. If you upgrade a certain piece and some other has less stats than that I’d say to sell the bad legendary one, be sure to keep some of them though. I have a damage build on some clothing pieces and another for plants and another one for decreased damage.

Naah the gear is useless don't keep anything unless it's top level and even then it doesn't matter ...I'm fairly underwhelmed as a gamer tbh I understand the hype for obsessed potter fans but yeh this game will die out very soon with no end game dlc or even a thought about the future of it
