In this video, we have shared our journey from Varkala to Poovar and on the way we visited a very old Fort named Anjuthengu fort. The entire journey to Poovar was mesmerising and took almost 2.5 hours to reach Poovar. We stayed at Poovar Island resort and to reach there we had to take a 15mins boat ride through backwater of Poovar and it was such an amazing experience and must do activity if you are in Poovar. Also, our stay at Poovar Island resort was very comfortable and we had an amazing time staying there. Another great video brother. Can you please tell me how different is poovar from Alleppey? As both are backwaters only will it be worth it to include both places in the itinerary or we can exclude poovar if we are staying at a house boat in Alleppey.

Thank you bro😊 Poovar is far from Allepey around 180km which will take Approx 4.5hrs. Yo u can skip Poovar if you are going to Allepey and don’t have enough time in your itinerary but if you are planning to visit Varkala, then you can plan for a day trip to Poovar, Kovalam and Azhimala shiva temple.. all these places you can cover in one day. You can go by car till the resort parking. They have space for car parking. you can submit the luggage over there and go by hotel provided boat. They will send the luggage directly to your room. 👍
