He also didn't have 2 of his top 3 receivers a few missing lineman if I recall correctly. And they are learning a new offense. And he's going against a really good defense. Nothing to be worried about. And yes CJ was a rookie and had a very good season but that's not the norm even for great QBs. Peyton manning had like 28 ints his rookie season. And you can't jumped to any conclusion based off of 3 days of otas. I still wouldn't be surprised if. He has a better rookie season than CJ Stroud.

I have no problem will Nick. He's a good reporter and formal and likable. My problem was with Hoge & Carm on Thursdays show. It was shocking like a pair of spoiled brats in the first 20 minutes of that show. These guys are in a privileged position. The demands from the offense this early in OTAs with new OC new QB new players new system. Is a stretch patience needed. Don't be so concerned with the past. I would be more worried if the offense was ahead of the defence this early. Especially with the defence with a 3 year head start.

Yes it is early...but the issues we saw from Caleb are the ones noted by many draft reports - problems finding open receivers, holding the ball, difficulty reading defenses, lack of anticipation, and so on. These issues have nothing to do with missing OL or the receiver group we basically had last year. It is an unpolished QB used to playing sandlot against college D. Will he get better - yes. Will he ever be top 10.....I have doubts. And it will take time to get sort of acceptable.

The media reported there were 3 completions, but never puts it into context. Like, of how many throws, or how many picks. If it was 3 of 30, that’s a lot worse than 3 of 10. Plus, it was a lot of second stringers going against the top 5 defense in the league.

Guys, remember that this Waldron offense isn't exactly the same as Getsy's, so the entire offense is learning new things, not just the new guys. And Carm, Gerald Everett has probably the most knowledge of this offense as he's been with Waldron before and is an outstanding vet.

If I keep hearing Williams is struggling... Anyone ever think the whole offense is learning a complex offense... Ever think playing against a top 5 secondary in there 3rd year together.. Ever think not having odunze and Allen and playing with bottom tier WR's Ever think the WR's making a wrong angle a wrong assignment so he has too hold the ball longer .. Caleb throws too spots on the field and it's required that his receivers be in that spot.. if there not in that spot who they gonna blame caleb.. It's a TEAM SPORT give the team some time.. Its not Williams is struggling its the offense as a whole is struggling...

Driving range with golf. Grip, follow through. Muscle memory. The last thing that matter in practice this early is the outcome

Brags mentioned the safety situation, and I think it's more of a story than anybody is mentioning. We needed two safeties this offseason, and only came away with one. Eddie Jackson was replaced by Kevin Bayard. That was a good move, but let's face it ... Brisker gets injured every year. We need a backup ready to step up at the safety position. Elijah Hicks wasn't ready to step up last year. Is Jonathon Owens good enough to step in as a starter for perhaps 5-6 games? That's a guy you should be watching in practice. I don't have any faith in Hicks at this point.

The problem with 7-on-7 is the defense never plays honest because you never run the bal and technically it's 5 receivers vs 7 defenders because the Center and QB can't run routes (Yes, I know real football will be like this also)! The NFL is all about keeping the defenses out of alignment and honest. What good is an RPO or Play-Action to keep underneath coverage Linebackers from getting deep quicker than your cross route when it's a great deal of your offense and you can't even use it to exploit anything? 7-on-7 is so overrated for a defense anyways, they know it's always, PASS-PASS-PASS! I'm guessing Caleb was holding on to the ball because every player on defense knows it's a pass, so they are never out of alignment to get burned between zones, deep, or over the middle to allow for bigger throwing lanes! I can't imagine there were any throwing lanes when every defensive player knows for a fact it's a pass to 1 of 5 different eligible receivers! Don't get me wrong, it's awesome that the defense is playing well though!

He's a smaller, slower, weaker version of Justin. He can't play in structure, he stares his receivers down and he's literally only taken 5% of his snaps from under center. I know reporters are going to report whatever happens in practice, good or bad, but you are also naive to think that reporting on this QB especially will get blown out of control. So Nick reporting on "near interceptions" was turned into a story that Caleb threw 7 interceptions and was benched during OTAs. Not really your fault that people are idiots, but still a little your fault for reporting on "near interceptions" which is just not something I have ever heard reports say before. Could have been a catch that was run for a couple yards that maybe a DB got a finger on, or it could just be a regular incompletion. Were the throws from Mahomes last year that went right through the hands of Toney and into the hands of the defense "near catches?" No, those were just called interceptions and showed that Mahomes needed more help from his receivers. Should have just left it at incompletions and running out of bounds like Nick said on the show. You'd be lucky if that prediction came true. Based on the talent and the unfavorable schedule, I'd say our guys win 8 games. We have a talented but young offense. Talented defense that will struggle on the line and pressuring the qb. The schedule is going to absolutely suck. So I'd imagine we have lots of injuries pop up this year due to lots of games played in a short span. CW will have rookie growing pains. 8 win season. No way in hell do we regress to 3 wins from 7 last year.
