Greetings from Uruguay. Yes we are. Heartbroken that I won't be able to make My annual trip to UK and use my Britrail Pass on trains. Am compensating by watching old films of All the Stations and Least used stations. Hope to meet You both on the least used train, Aberdeen-Penzance one day. Favourite Rail moment, arriving at York and straight into Principal hotel. Miss digestives, not available here. Best Les W.

@@briocheoleary5043 Perhaps the background for this holiday came from different people in each country. Even here in the U.S. there are two people credited. One in the late 19th century, the other in the early 20th century. Regardless of the beginnings we have a day to celebrate mothers. And very deserving so!

A huge part of the world (Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Italy, USA and a lot more) celebrate mothers day on the second Sunday in may.
