If i had to describe BTS in the kitchen, i would say that Jin and Yoongi are the best chefs. They have a lot of knowledge, even when they don't know how to do something, they will learn and try their best. Then I would place JK in the third place. Maybe he's not on the same level as Jin and Yoongi but he's always there to help them. He's not afraid to try new things, he would be the first one to search for the recipes and tips online. Jimin and Hobi are the same in a sense, they don't cook that often but they get things done. Like in "bts in the soop" , they had no problem with cooking their own breakfasts, lunches and other (more simple) things. They are also great helpers, whether it's for cooking or cleaning after the meal. I feel like we don't know the full potential of V's cooking yet. He definitely has his moments but he would rather have someone else cook for him or at least help him cook his dish. He's the one that would gladly do the dishes if someone cooks for him. For RM, I would not let him into my kitchen. I know he's trying but I feel like helping him would take more time than finishing the dish on my own. This man is a genius but he's clueless in the kitchen.

It was actually the sugar. He was making glazed potatoes and put too much sugar in the glaze and the potatoes stuck to the plate.

This procedure is called caramelization. Thats why they said too much Caramel. Caramel is Just sugar.

Yup, and the longer you cook caramelized sugar, the more water content evaporates - so it gets harder and stickier.

My mom worked at a big restaurant for 30 years and I give credit to anyone who's worked in the same kitchen for number of years on their work ethics. One has to hustle without hindering others and be on time, if not early. When I showed her these cooking run bts episodes, that's when she fell in love with Jin. She actually kinda yells like him in the kitchen 😁esp that scene where Jin was yelling at Namjoon "I told you to slice the onions, not dice them!!"

Tae was ripping apart kimchi; traditional kimchi is made with full cabbage and when it’s fermented enough, you take it out and slice it as needed. Keep in mind, there’s over 200 varieties of kimchi and it can be made with Napa cabbage to cucumbers to persimmons and any kind of leafy vegetables, etc.

Hello. The potatoes Jungkook prepared is a well known korean dish made of caramel (sugar) but he added too much caramel in the potatoes. That should have not happened (sorry if my english is bad because I’m french)

I think all of these compilation videos come from their Run BTS shows. If you ever get a chance you should watch and react to the full shows. They are very funny and many times these compilations clips don't do justice because you can't see the full context of what's going on and why the clips are funny but I still enjoyed the reaction. 😄

Jin and Yoongi are both dedicated when it comes to cooking for the members. They are not masterchef levels but they know how to handle food and make decent food for everyone. And it's just amazing that they really put effort. Especially on their trips, from groceries, preparing food, cooming and cleaning. It's just a usual routine for them. They dedicate tasks for everyone.

3:03 When you beat the egg whites, you prove you have successfully made meringue by turning the bowl over. Turning the bowl over your head is like some kind of challenge that you've made it because it shouldn't spill. Jimin maybe dont realize it over his hair since beaten egg white is so light. So as others have said 2 are excellent cooks, Jin and Yoongi keep everyone fed and they’ve taught JK really well. Tae and RM are complete and utter helpless disasters but they work together on cleanup and are experts on dish washing and cleanup duty. Jimin and JHope fall in the middle with some disasters but can generally follow directions but no big talent. I do fear any scene with RM and a knife and the way Jin and Yoongi try to keep him away and have a ptsd like reaction to him in the kitchen… they have seen things. Haijima…💜💜

@@bee12117 He's always asking them questions about what and why they do things while cooking. He asks for their advice and feedback when he cooks and has outright asked them how do cook specific things: "Suga hyung, can you teach me how to cook a steak?" That scene was Yoongi patiently teaching JK how to prep, season, cook, and rest the steaks. With Jin, he just mostly learns by helping him and being his taste tester.

oh no lol it was unintentional! it wasn't their recipe, they were following the steps now.. maaaybe it created a caramel? not sure how to say it in English but when you cook sugar it gets sticky!! so maybe he plated the potatoes when that caramel was still hot and liquid but... when it cools off forget it! it's gonna get stuck wherever it landed hehe

I'm Brazilian, and I would be angry if I interpreted that someone was making a disgusting sound to my traditional food, when there's NO animal there, because, I understand vegan and vegetarian people IF it was with meat. there wasn't an animal, or blood, and it's kind of obvious that they wouldn't record that kind of content if it was blood there. they were making kimchi, and the red was just the souce. I'm not blaming him, because I really like his reacts, it's one of the few react channels I watch. I just gave a WARNING because it's TRADITIONAL thing and people COULD (I didn't say they were) feel uncomfortable. but that's my opinion, just that. I really like his channel, really.

So if I know "ya that thing does look sus, so it's common for foreigners to mistake it for something else .." then I won't be offended. Btw I wasn't blaming you or anything for that matter. Most of these clips ar out of context, so it's difficult to tell what's really going on. When Jimin dumped the food on his head, they were making meringue and they were told to hold the bowl upside down over their heads to test if it was ready. Jimin and Taehyung were a team and the other two teams had already successfully completed their meringue. Jimin and Tae's wasn't ready, but Jimin got impatient and held it over his head anyway. With predictable results. With the sweet potatoes, JK was sincerely trying to make the dish but the glaze was cooked for slightly too long and it hardened too much, causing the potatoes to stick to the plate. Since it was a show, made to entertain ARMY, he played up his mistake, making everyone laugh.

Hey Bryan. I enjoy watching you watch BTS compilations. I have to recommend a new one that I watched the other week. The channel has only started making BTS edits about a month ago and looks like this one is their first. There videos seem to be really good at giving context briefly before each clip.
