Actually the bottom line is, an entrepreneur or a business owner will never think of retiring early as he is working for himself and his venture. Retiring early is mostly for employees who are working for other people's dreams. Why will a person be motivated to slog their ass for others especially when their needs are fulfilled by FIRE. The corporate world is become so cruel and toxic that it is not feasible for any normal person to have a satisfying life. No work pife balance, normalising long working hours, toxic bosses and colleagues, its best to retire early. Dear Alok, not everyone is a entrepreneur and business owner.

I live in a Tier 2 city. On buying a house, my father bought a flat that costed him 1.5 Lakhs in 1989, with the Home loan, he ended up paying 4 Lakhs+, not to mention cost of repairs etc. Today, the market price of that flat is barely 30 Lakhs, that is roughly 8 times in 25 years. While the BSE index has gone from 1000 to 79000 in the same period. I did the opposite, I rented 2 BHK flats, spent Rs. 45 Lakhs in rent over 25 years, invested similar amount in mutual funds, today, I have a corpus of 3 crores and I live in a rented independent duplex home with an option to buy it for 2 crores. So, in my opinion, do not buy a flat early, there is simply no advantage in that, independent home with the plot could make sense. That has been my experience.

Who says retirement means not working? It means retiring from slavery. Unfortunately some people can think only through the prism of money that would be left for you at any point of time.

If you had 5 cr in 1999 ...you would have a corpus of 160 cr by 2024 ....why firing in the air bro
@AK-jb9ijАй бұрын
15% return ke hisab se, 5 cr did become 164cr, you can simply do 5*1.15^25 = 164 Isme kya firing bro, check basic math
@amitsaurav156Ай бұрын
@@AK-jb9ij yes that's what I am telling to the guest...164 Cr is Not a small corpus......I am sure he is telling a lie....he had Not 5 cr in 1999
@prajith78Ай бұрын
I think what he meant is, at 1999 he thought 5Cr as a good target - doesn’t mean he had that money then. In fact he says that he had made first Cr around age 31, which is around 1999/2000. Yes, 5Cr at 1999 is equal to 160+ Cr now. Which is as good as him saying 160cr as future target now, pretty high amount- this part only shows he is aiming high, may be very high as per some of us.

Finally someone says it. Retire when you can work is most absurd idea of all time. I think if you take a month vacation/sabbatical you will really want to go back to work.

No worries, you become a winner of the rat race by retiring at 95 , Who cares ? I am happy to be a loser ( according to you ) by retiring at 45 😂😂most confused podcast ever

Phenomenal guy, I'm 22, I've got the exact same mindset as his, just except the diversification part, I personally think diversification is overrated and spot on with the retirement part, these FIRE guys should indeed be FIRED😂.

How do u define a successful person?
@RaahulsinghАй бұрын
typical Indian adviser, client ko retire hona hai par adviser inna gyan de dega ki na client start hi nhi karta hai and advisor kuch help kar nhi pata. If one really wants to retire show them a way ,that as per calculation Rs XX Cr is needed. if this can be achieved you can consider retiring na ki client ko hi gyan de dena ki LOSER RETIRE EARLY.

Hhe is talking sense, but inadvertently his way of putting it has leas to misunderstood, he should have started by defining what is retirment, my understandingg of his interpretatin is to wholy depend on passive income is retirment

what a load of bullocks !!! I did retire at 49 ... started to plan since 32 ... and you cant still do the likes while you work as the speaker says , at least for 90% of them. You are hired and they own you. Those who work till they need a crutches are the losers. Retire and live your life the way you want it, spend more time with your family , friends ... they are the winners . Losers are the ones who live as slave to the job contract. period.

Every one has its own opinion.Calling someone looser based out of their own opinion shows that host is not matured enough. People should avoid labeling others just because they are on hot seat. Sorry couldn’t listen this conversation.

Mentos khao apni akal lagao. Fire system doesn't say you sit idle. You continue to persue your works which you like. Less stressful life. Saving and investing money is the only truth. Fire will automatically teach you minimalism.
