Glad to hear it! Hopefully it saves you some of the headaches I had (and hunts) of the traditional cluck! Thanks for the comment!

RASY CALLS HAVE WORKED FINE FOR ME BOSS. GOOD INFO GOOD LUCK THIS SPRING.

It’s not that raspy calls are bad, I love raspy calls. It is just that even raspy calls (except the V cut) have a sweet front end if you find it and it adds extra realism. Good luck!

What type of cut is in the top latex of your call?

@@WeekendWoodsmen I’ve used a lot of different cuts, combos, v cuts, etc. not sure what I’m doing wrong

@@melvinsacromentoe V cuts will never be sweet, so don’t worry about that. I would recommend you get a single reed no cut or double reed no cut call so you can get the mechanics down on it. Once you have the mechanics then when you get a call with cuts you just need to figure out how to channel the air through the cutout part of the top latex using the same mechanics, but the single and double reeds will allow you to make the sound regardless of where the air is channeling. You also can experiment with increasing your upward tongue pressure on the call. More tongue pressure will make it higher pitch.
