I'm loving this! My mother's grandmother came from Lithuania and she never learned English. My mom was taught lithuanian. At 84 she's using the language more now. I really love that you included pictures, it looks like a really lovely place. One day I hope to go there!

Buvau Klaipėdoje 2008m. su žmona. Ten gyvena drauga. Plaukiome laivu nuo Kiel. Tai buvo kelionė mūsų 30tos vestuvių metų proga. Kadangi mano žmona nenorėjo keliauti į Lietuvą nesuprantant kalbos, mudu nusprendome išmokti Lietuvių kalbą.

1:00 As a matter of fact, you often say "Skrendu į Vilnių", and not "Aš skrendu į Vilnių" because personal pronouns, especially 1st and 2nd person personal pronouns can, and often are, dropped in a LIthuanian sentence.

That's a long way! Punia is a village near Alytus, the 6th largest city in Lithuania

How do you pronounce Minupiai?

So the places at the seaside are stressed on the last syllable, but the spa cities on the first.

In some cases, yes! This is a brilliant observation :-)

Going to Lithuania in '25. I'm very intimidated by the difficulty of the language, but I'll do my best!
