A few remarks: 1) There are rails coming out of the train depot building. Why are they not connected with the rest of the rail network? 2) If I were you, I would move the bus stations to the train stations. In real live, bus stations usually are next to or close to a train station.

Maybe connect them to each other with buses instead? In my city, the train station isn’t located in the middle of the city and isn’t the main bus hub, that being a bus stop with many shelters right by the town square, which is served by almost all bus lines in the city. The city i am talking about is in Sweden and is called Boden, search for Boden C/Resecentrum for the train station and Boden Medborgarplatsen for the main bus hub.

In real life a lot of things happen that don’t happen in cities skylines. The cims are smooth brain clowns, so even having bus stations next to subway/train stations is largely useless.

Just a small detail. You could replace the two arms of the "Y" in front of the train station with one way roads, one going in and one going out, such that there is no more crossing over. Not like it was necessary for traffic purposes, but I just thought that would look quite nice :)

1:00 I don't think the fire engines can reach the forest fire, you probably need a helicopter fire depot, and probably not a bad idea to place a firewatch tower near the forestry zone for better prevention and responsiveness!

I found a GREAT trick for when the trees and other foliage gets blurry like at 23:30 . All you have to do is press CTRL + SHIFT + WIN + B and it'll "reset" your graphics card. It should only take a few seconds, and it will completely fix those issues.

add a fire watch tower (when you research or can get it) and put it at frostea foresty, as fire trucks will just keep coming and coming and will do nothing so try and research the fire watch tower at forestry and forgod sake lower the bus prices to 10 or 5 pence or quid, thanks

17:16 -> be careful when you are placing your bus stops. If you look carefully it creates a wider area for the buses to duck into to pick up passengers, however that wider area aligns with the road segments and not centred on the bus stop. You can see the wider area as you place the stop so you can manually centre it, or you can move the stop after. NVM, 18:05 you saw it and corrected it. I just hit 200 000 citizens and the game is practically unplayable on my PC. Takes over 8 seconds per "minute" and everything is so slow. Changing from 1x speed to 4x or even 8x makes no difference and the simulation speed is just lagging. It was great so far, going to start my next city with a better idea on how to do everything. I really hope there are updates to the train and subway depots. At the moment my city has 5 of each to keep up with the demand of my lines.

how much ram and what cpu do you have? on my pc 500k population is still on 2x speed although every once in a while it does slow down (32gb ddr5 with 13700k and processlasso forcing it on all cores)

I wish that forests and forestry industries as well looked more realistic. Like if you've every walked in a forest, there is very little grass anywhere, most of it is debris from the trees and brush. But in the game, grass grows everywhere except specialized industries, minus the forestry industries

Reads like you are describing the large non-native conifer commercial plantations like we have here in the UK. High density of tress planted in straight lines, mostly non-native Sitka spruce with nothing underneath i.e. ecological desert. This isn't the norm in other European countries whose forestry is smaller scale with native species and uses natural regeneration, which is more natural looking and has ground flora and grasses.

Hopefully the fire effects will be updated soon. They are so rushed, its just a single localized point particle effect when it should be a rising effect like the first game. There is a single dropdown in Unity to fix this problem, making fire much more realistic. How did they manage to make fire so much worse, it looked great in the first game.

I noticed that you haven't added any new schools and it might be bitting you soon. In my game, I added a few high density residential and as such, I have 12k people trying to go into my elementaries schools as opposed to the other levels right now. But, because it takes 2.5h at 4x speed to pass 6 months, it is a nightmare to wait for high skilled labor at that point. I wish that the game would move faster than 2.5h for 6 months in game when I am at 4x. I do not want to let my PC run for the night, hoping the day after people have graduated so I can continue building! It is almost as if we are getting punished for building while being paused...

Something that makes no sense to me that seems to be the same as in C:S1 is that every single new citizen is uneducated, the cims only become educated on your city but no highschool graduates/college students/high skilled workers move from out of town. At least that's what i've noticed but i havent played as much as C:S1

That is not true. Cim that are born of course starts as children and will go to school. But, if your taxes are lower for higher education level, some of them will have some education. Might not be the case if they are taxed more though (which they should since they gain more money!)

I do still think they should fine-tune all the numbers and specially demands (if your city is going well there's always demand to grow, but that means that at least I haven't been able to keep a city at a stable population level without running into high rent issues since slowly demand creeps up)

@@sol_in.victusAt some point, you give them so much entertainment and services that they ask for houses different than lower residential and as such, their rent are easier. Also, as you build local specialized industries (especially stone), it helps them into having more money. And if you decide to no longer build anything else but high density buildings, they will at some point use them. They will complain about smaller homes but it is only one debuff covered byt the rest :)

Please do not destroy the bridge and replace it. The bridge is iconic to Kettlebridge, it’s like the Kettlebridge version of the Dom Luis I in Porto. It would be cool if you used one of those small islands as the gated community you unlocked in an earlier episode. Earl Grey Island. As a side note, I’m not sure if the game would make it functional, but I think it would be pretty cool to have a park ride facility just off the highway. Free parking, and free bus rides, with a train station as well, possibly a tram/subway station when you use them, and a taxi rank? They are becoming quite popular in U.K. cities.

You can play waypoints for transit lines. Just click or drag the line and.them click to create waypoint. as if creating a bus stop but not at a bus stop.

I would like to make a suggestion as to a place for the medical university (if you ever need to place it), which is close by a hospital building, with both of them on the same campus. I'm sure people said the same when CS1 launched... it's the world we live in now, games are released half baked and unfinished to get money in the door... they then spend months patching the problems and most games now pretty much release improvements and/or dlc's for the games duration. Heck CS1 was still receiving minor patch updates in the weeks leading up to CS2 launch.

This time around, I didn't appreciate the Unreal 5 trailers, knowing that's not the in-game engine used. Didn't appreciate the last-minute console delay, which indicated a project management failure. And as you mentioned, therefore, released 'half baked and unfinished to get money' ! Well, not my money! At this stage, they aren't a small indie dev fighting goliath anymore, and the level of quality IMO is unacceptable!
