I've seen some teachers overcomplicate tabulation by drawing tables and all which is unnecessary. If someone can solve it recursively (with or without memo), converting it into tabulation is cakewalk, you just have to keep in mind that which parameters were changing and think that your dp table is already pre-filled with that, just plain bottom-up.
