I can relate to losing your school friend group, I lost mine when we parted ways after tenth grade, as we all proceeded to go to different schools, I still have their contacts and I'm pretty sure we still live in the same country but it feels weird to just randomly contact them after like 3-4 years of complete silence. That left me without a real friend group for a long while, but thanks to DST I was able to find a long term online friend group and now we just play games together, having fun and all that. I did also meet someone in person who I ended up becoming friends with, though we mostly just play games online now, which is completely fine by me. But since I started working for the first time like 3 months ago it's hard to find the time to play games anymore as I'm always coming home exhausted, which sucks because I'm also an artist and now I find it hard to find the motivation to draw at all despite all the ideas that are in my head (I work as an Electrician for Automation btw). Also coming back to the game, Reign of Giants is essentially just Don't Starve but with more content (where as Shipwrecked and Hamlet change the entire world you play in) which is why I would recommend only playing Reign of Giants if you want to have the best Don't Starve experience, but after all, that's completely up to you.
