@@GiammiTheBest what I usually do is pickup 12 flowers during exploration (each flower pickup boost your sanity by +5) and I make Garland which is good for early game sanity loss :) Doesn't take a lot of time since flowers are found kinda everywhere :)

I didn't actually like your previous begginer's guides because you said there base in the ruins amd be always insane, which is not good for newer players, but this guide doesn't say you to do it amd doesn't say you to rush the ruins because it's not a begginer strategy! This is strange coming from you, but i think there can be some stuff to be added 1) you can go into the caves for a bit and collect a stack or so of light bulbs, with that you can make a lantern and use that for light rather than the torch 2) make a shovel at the science station, lets you relocate bushes and dig out stumps for one more wood per tree, you can also dig graves to get trinkets for gold and gems early game 3) you can fight shadow creatures (the enemies that spawn on low insanity) it may seem obvious but when i started i thought they can't be killed and you had to run from them and get sanity back up. But just fight them since they drop a good resource and would save way more time than running and trying to get sanity whilst being pestered by shadow creatures

Tip : if you don't want waste any wood, burn entire forest that you don't use, for coal, grab minimum 80 coal, it will help a lot during winter

Very helpful for me, as a beginner. Right now I have absolutely NO idea how to deal with pigs, but Abigail is helping me with that part. So yea, I got stuff under control... I think.

Pigs are pretty complex to kill without armor correctly. The way I normally do it is to go at night time, light something nearby on fire and hammer their house that way I have one isolated. Attack once to aggro and dodge immediately (it will aggro other pigs nearby even if they're in their houses so watch out for the next one), then hit 4 times and dodge. If you aren't very precise with your hits you'll get 0 hits instead of 4 because they dodge.

You should also try fight them on a path if possible, since you get a speed boost which would make dodging them easier and catching up to the easier

Just found out about your channel. I played DS in the early days, when it originally came out. These guides help a ton . Also, for me the best way in early game to get meat is Killing Koalefants, which are really easy to kill and drop 8 each kill. Do you think it's worth or is it too time consuming ?

I would go with a pig farm and bunnyman farm. When you get a lot of them you can rack up way more big meat + pig skins and carrots. Lot less time consuming than having to chase koalefant and would reward more resources too

I've had this question for a while, could you answer it? why does noone start in spring? you can get through it with an umbrella and then go into the caves right as summer starts (assuming your play style isnt ruin rush)

Spring start isn't vanilla in DST. It's also the hardest season because the umbrella isn't 100% protection in DST and frog rain is dangerous in early game.

Also you can barely get anything done in spring if you dont have an eyebrella because you will be constantly struggling to stay warm and sane so autumm is basicly the more superior starting season (also I still dont know why default settings for starting seasons in RoG is set to autumm or spring can’t tell how often I forgot to change that and restarted because of it).

Good video, but I'm confused about recommending people to drop the thermal stone next to the fire if you pre-make it. Surely put it in a chest until winter so it doesn't inadvertently lose durability in the meantime?

thermal stones only lose durability when they cool so as long as the fire stays lit it wont lost any

They game is so old everybody knows how to play it and even if not if you have played DST you know how to play OG DS I mean heck the game almost has no bosses exept for Ancient Guardian (I think) otherwise the game only has spider queens and tree guards as mini bosses which are super easy to kill basicly OG DS doesnt has enough content that is worth covering that is exclusiv and unavailable in DST

Right near df is a mess tho - asI know from personal experience, if a tumbleweed roll past a lava pool, it can make it to your crops before turning to ash and that's that, time to restart the world

Berry bushes is a great idea, but if your basing in the dragonfly desert it isn’t always necessary for me at least to relocate twigs and grass because of how efficient tumbleweeds are. He didn’t mention these in the video(I think) but it’s a great idea to find a corner packed with tumbleweeds and base near there within the dragonfly desert, and if you relocate berries, trust me, this is sooo annoying, DO NOT BASE NEAR VULTURES. I HAVE MADE THIS MISTAKE.
