Fun fact, you can also use koalas for this method, and it saves you the hassle of reloading the world, though it may be harder to get the koalas to spawn in older worlds. Also, because koalas don't regenerate health, they may die between tusk spawns, so you could also collect the meat as long as you have some 2-3 koalas still on the pen. And because of the higher damage of the Koala, 1 can easily kill tusk and hounds at least twice even when not inside a pen, I've tried this myself and it works wonderfully. Besides, Koalas don't go into heat anytime, so this method is even safer in case you forget to equip your beef hat (it happens to me way too many times).

You mean going through the hassle of dirt piles in hopes of getting a Koalefant and not a damn Varg so you can make it run from you all the way into the pen around the Walrus Camp, and then everytime it dies doing the hole thing again to replace the dead one? You crazy man? xD

Ok but what if there will be too many beefalos in the farm And how did you make them not break the fence?

The maximum number of Beefalo in each herd is 12. There is no more way to be born more than that (unless many herds of Beefalo naturally gathered). And "In heat" Beefalo doesn't attack a fence anyway unless there is something it wants to attack is on the other side of the fence. It will break the fence and attack it.

@@yoink497, They do aggro on birds. But In the times we let it spawn new Beefalo, we don't even need to stay and watch it. So when we're not in that area, there will be no birds flying down to the ground.

@@yoink497 And I think the range aggro of Beefalo isn't very wide. When the Beefalo aggro on the bird and run to attack, the bird would probably fly away first.

Why did you break the beefalo/bell bond? Does it matter?

I don't need the bond anymore. I used the bell to bring them to the camps and make them stay there. After I reconnect the world, they'll be the new herd and change their spawn point. So the bond that make them stay there isn't necessary anymore.

@@fiftysixck2341 not only relocating, but how do the herd mechanics work. For example, if I want tot make an efficient farm, how do I manage to have multiple herd spawn points in close proximity? Or when and how does a goat affect its herd point? You get it.

The tool that makes you have your own Beefalo. (It is found in the Tools Tab). You can name the Beefalo and bring them to wherever you want. (It will follow the Bell)
