The green liquid you had at the end was 'Jal Jeera' (translated into english - Cumin Water). But obviously the drink has much more than cumin. It contains salt and other spices, mint leaves, and lemons. If you drink this on a hot summer day in North India then you can move about in the sun all day without getting a heat stroke. That is why the drink is so popular in India. The taste grows with time. There is another variant of the drink that is called 'aam Panna' or mango panna, made from raw mangoes instead of using lemons for sour flavour. This is also the water (or very similar to the water) that you add to pani puris if you were wondering.

That is jaljeera u are drinking at the end (jal = water, jeera = cumin, with a lot more masala added to it). So yes, it's usually heavily spiced. Generally, foreigners like it in pani puri, only locals can appreciate it straight like that. Safe travels Luke, thanks for the vids!

As many have already told you about this drink, its hindi name is "Jal Jeera" means 'cumin water' in english but it has many other ingredients in it including salt, cumin, black peper, mint leaves grinded/mixed, lemon, ice mixed in the water. It is really wonderful drink if it is made at home or outside if it is heigenic, but if you buy it from street vendor then, you can suspect it of having unpurified/dirty water, and dirty ice which results in deseases.

At 51:59 that JALJEERA drink ingredients were Jal means water in Hindi and Jeera means cumin seeds. Also in that, some lemon drops and a paste of mint leaves, and black salt all extract together. Specially It's a summer drink to reduce excess heat from the body it helps to save from sunstrokes in India 🇮🇳

That Indian puddin is called kheer it's basically made of milk rice and sugar and added dryfruits ..the milk is thickened and the rice is cooked in it (they coarse grind the rice after washing )also some people add cardamon powder and saffron

Actually me being an Indian myself, that lemon drink that you were struggling with really has an awkward taste. I don't like that taste myself...😂😂 It's spicy, strong, full of soda. Luke, I was born in Delhi and grew up there. How on earth does your stomach handle the street food? Me and my school and college friends could barely handle this stuff more than once a month or so, without our stomachs collapsing.

He handles it because he orders the simplest, most common, basic food items..chai, fruit drink, coconut, date, biriyani, cumin water, pudding, kulfi. He's the most unadventurous food vlogger I've seen...lol. I can get everything he ordered here in the USA very easily except jal jeera, but I can get masala soda. Still, he's very fun watching !

This is old Delhi , Foreigners always shows old Delhi .. New Delhi is very modern

Old Delhi (Red Fort,Chandi Chowk, Jama Masjid area) is a small part of Delhi. Delhi has many districts. Just to give you an example, Delhi has 110 pincodes and Old Delhi is 06. But yes, Old Delhi(previously known as Shahjahanabad) it's similar to Lahore.

@@hassanasif8398 No problem :) I wish to see Lahore someday. Actually, Lahore and Shahjahanabad(Old Delhi) were both walled cities with the same architectural design because both served as capitals for the Mughals. The walls were taken down by the British, though some ruins remain. The Main Gate of Red Fort is called Lahori Gate because it faces Lahore. Infact, the Badhshahi Masjid of Lahore was constructed 30 years later after Jama Masjid, keeping in mind the same design. Hence they look so similar.

@@essee3984 You are right. Interestingly out of the 13 gates of old Lahore one of them is Delhi gate.
