See, this is the kind of tutorial video I need. No transitions between the person and the canvas, no voiceover or anything else. Just the unfiltered painting process and some notes explaining the process. A blessing this video is.

This is so good!!!the rendering on the metal parts is just so amazing and at the background part you said you were having trouble fitting the character into the bg so if you want to draw bg again I would say draw bg first then it will be easier to make the character blend into the bg but ngl I like your drawing against black background that you normally do because of you I started putting my drawings against black bg idk black bg just slaps😅
@kurohshiro Жыл бұрын
Oh yes! Definitely. To be honest I always think the character is the most important part in my art, so I draw them first. But ofc this makes it harder to fit into the background later. It's a brilliant tip to draw plan background and character at the same time and work simultaneously on them. Thanks a lot for your feedback :3
@colzy6241 Жыл бұрын
@@kurohshiroWhat I always do, is: sketch the character with base colours, draw the background or at least the basic colours and shapes to know what light will bounce off and shadows will form on the character later on and then proceed with the character.

This was such a good illustration, I had not even noticed that there was no lineart! It's so impressive how many methods you have for creating art, this may give me the courage to try something risky and new whenever something isn't working. Thank you as always for your helpful videos! ☺

That's a wonderful mindset! Sometimes art can be really frustrating. Either I drop a piece before I go insane and move on to a new one (that's why I always work on several pieces at the same time) or I try something entirely out of my comfort zone like in this one: a background and no lineart haha

There is clear lineart on the art though.

this was pretty interesting to watch, was originally planning to watch while I worked on my own fanart, but ended up stopping and watching the whole thing. I first started out watching mikeymegamega's tutorial on making digital art, and I had a layer for everything, but then I got tired of having so many layers and decided to try just using 1 layer. It frees me from having to keep finding the layer that I'm supposed to be on, but then also kinda prevents me from modifying only the parts I want to modify, so I guess having some layers is the way to go
