Don't Wait, Advocate with Ann Tollefson

A Wyoming native, Ann Tollefson discovered the power of advocacy while attending an ACTFL board meeting. Following a presentation on distance learning, a representative from the East Coast asked "Why can't they just drive to the next town?" Representing an area where the next town can be 50 miles away, Ann realized she "could bring a perspective, an experience here that these other people don't have."
Ann found her passion for world language as a French Teacher and went on to have an illustrous career advocating for her community at the local and regional levels as well as serving as the ACTFL President in 1997. Ann's advice to the next generation of advocates is "Don't let a job define you, you define your job."
