I would ultimately say that technically GPD WIN 1 really kick started the whole gaming pc handheld situation. Followed by the switch a few months later which really pushed the idea of real home games on the go.

Thank you for the advice. The challenge with these videos is that I only have 5 to 6 minutes to drive my points home. So, if at times my point doesn't sound complete. It is because I am trying to fit the time frame of view duration. But I am working on that and I appreciate your tip. Thank you

For me this might be the GOAT gaming device. SteamOS has crazy depth in customization, especially if you're a Linux user already, and overall the design feels extremely user friendly. It looks great, plays great and if you download Emudeck and Decky Loader and it's almost perfect.

I would get one but I want to be able to play DOOM Eternal at 1080p 120hz at least. My series x can do that no problem. I’m just going to wait until they get a little bit better since any video I watch the person says “well I’m not much of a fps player so I don’t have to turn the settings down that much”. Well I guess I’m not getting a handheld anytime soon.

I have both LeGo and Steam Deck. Regardless of graphics card, Steamdeck feel more premium, the steam os is conveniently Switch like and Battery way better. even with lower TDP performance just smooth and no stuttering for AAA games.

Yeah, the Steam deck has proven to be the most efficient overall. I have a Rog Ally Z1 E and it plays games a bit better to me

Have a steamdeck oled, legion go plus a rog ally ,windows based consoles are a total pain, steamdeck ticks all the boxes all day !

I love the steam deck oled , but the ROG ally is clearly the better option. As great as the steam deck is and has been they’re too many caveats . The ROG ally is more powerful and has no compatibility issues.

Well depends on your style. I love my Z1 Extreme for the fact it is Windows-based. Which allows me to play any pc game. The price has dropped off a bit and there are enough people who are willing to sell theirs for less than 500 USD. But it can feel like you are jumping through hoops at times because of the many launchers. The worst part about the Z1 Extreme is the battery. But I love mine, and it is up to what games you want to play handheld wise

Steam deck is absolutely amazing, but in my opinion is only truly worth it if you already have a pc/steam library.

I think it works as a stand-alone device too. My wife doesn't own a pc but uses my Steam Deck to play the Sims 4.

If you are not worried about the price. Then I would say buy a Steam deck OLED 1TB and just buy the Sony games on Steam. That way you can still play PS5 games on the go. P.S. The Steam deck doesn't need the internet to play games unless they are online required

Don't buy one at all. The Steam deck is really weak, and quite old Even in the world of pc handhelds. The switch 2 is going to obliterate all of them. And it won't even be close. Nvidia chip, DLSS, optimization? yeah. It's gonna be a blood bath on these toy pc handhelds.
